Ive heard of these new coilovers called "Click" coilovers, they are made by a company called "Search" and are sold at any local "Button" Performance shop.

Coilovers for a Mk4 Ibiza..... Which model?

Do you need coilovers, or do you just want them?

How low are you looking to go? This low:

Id go that low even if she was my damn sister! lol ....

Oh there is a car in that picture aswell? ohhhhh...

Coxw, I notice your very anti-coilovers for people who just want coilovers to say they have coilovers, or too go really low for no good reason, and dont want any performance gain.

Well done :)

Many thanks mate. Only the North Face jacket is currently more overused than the coilover!

If your car has the performance, and you have the money to set them up properly they are worth every penny (if you keep them well serviced), but lately everyone wants to stick them on anything, and I'm not even sure they truly know exactly what coily's are used for. I'm as guilt as the next man as I've been there, but just trying desperately to open some eyes and make people see there are other ways!!!

PS: I saw her first, she's mine :D

Indeed, I got mine a few weeks before a european trip which include a ring trip, perfect drive to work out what set up was needed IMHO, at the time I didnt have as much plans as its since had, but like yourself, if I was just looking at a normalish car, day to day use etc then coilovers seem abit OTT.

She is abit tasty, i'll taken seconds d00d ;)

Well I want coilovers at some point this year because I plan on doing some track days.
I will be going lowwer but not very much as I want it more for the handling than looks.

That's funny as I say I want coilovers to improve the ride as well as lower the car but people seem to have said the ride will be worse which puts me off!

When you think how much a set of suspension costs, you have to buy with complete blind faith unless you happen to know someone who has a car set up with the kit you want to buy. Naturally in the marketing blurb they'll always push you towards the top of the line stuff because the people in marketing have a fair knack for making you feel like you're missing out if you don't buy the spangley kit with knobs, bells and whistles on.

A good spring / damper kit will run rings around a badly set up or cheap coilover kit, and its less likely to seize and corrode.

Amen to that! I wonder how many people with coilovers actually adjust them regularly once they are on the car (which is the whole point). If I was to buy upgraded suspension bits it would just be for a little drop in height and improve the ride! Most people could do this with springs and dampers?

i brought a set of springs and dampers only the other week over a cheap set of coileys! its the ride height i was after and theres no way ill be changeing the height of it anyway, and to be honest springs and dampers to me are far by good enough! i even live in the costswolds!
