ive get about 300 a tank out of my 1.2, even if im careful it hardly makes any difference :(

does anybody else get this with the 1.2?

400-ish to a tank, 47-50 Mpg as well, driving about 40+ miles/day.

I do give it a full service twice a year mind you.
If I dip my oil and it comes back black, I change it and the oil filter!

Also keep an eye on tire pressures.

Very rarely turn on the AC! no point!

Just don't get it...
I filled up last night 41 Litres in, I'll report back when it's emptty as to what the millage is...
However I'm not expecting it to be as good this time cos I could only put Tesco fuel in, normally nothing other than Shell goes in the tank, and I've never used the Vmax stuff.

The only reason why I use Shell is I got my girlfriend to run an analysis of all the local petrol sources so I could find out which had the best grade/quality of fuel and the local Shell garage came out on top.
I then checked with that garage to make sure that their fuel all comes from the same depot, which it does, so that what I use.

I always use tesco fuel! cause of the clubcard points you can get it dirt cheap so..

Nar i find it drops! that cause iam really heavy footed on a mway! so..

If you maintained a calm 70mph, you could 400 miles a tank on a longer run.

How heavy footed if I may ask?

the 1.2 engine revs alot more than the bigger engined ibiza's so it would end up useing more fuel than the bigger engined ones on a motorway because of the higher speeds, the quicker your going the more it needs to rev so the more fuel it will need,

Yes, but still, 300 miles to a tank on a motorway run is still very rubbish!

If your going to cruise at 90mph, thats fine by me, just your fuel consumption will be a lot less.

70 steady should see good figures tbh. :)
