my mk2 Ibiza :) NEW WHEELS AND DE-WIPERED

finaly got round to gettting some pictures after a clean round my mates and also uploading the pics from when i'd just got it its a GTI 1.8 16v in KIWI YELLOW and its a 1996

from today after a wash

the colour of the car looks realy bad on the pics but it was the camera/starting to get dark

the immediate plans for it are:
get a new matching headlight or a new set like smoked or angel eyes now that some one pointed it out :S
down bout 80/100mm (i have the coilovers ready for it just hate working in the cold)
colour code the skirts and the front and rear splitters
spacers on the wheels 19mm front and 36mm rear
get new tyres probably 175s stretched
change the mesh grill for a debadged grill (like standard but without the S)
smoothed boot/tailgate
roof rack(colour coded)
get a new bonnet for every day use and rat the current one for meets/shows

alslo today i changed the air filter the new one is the one on the right obvs

and put some silly stickers on more to come

in which case its a 2L 16V

love the wheels tho think they look schweet

nah its the 1.8 the log book says so says right in it 1871cc if it was a 2.0 wud be awesome but its not

and the wheels are lovely need refurbing tho cos they wernt in a great state when i bought her and just before i bought it sumone stole th compo blue center caps and when i bought it the dude gave me the replacement ones he'd bought but there for the MLs not the MOs so dont fit so need to sell them and get some more frm compo and put on the compomotive decals on the spoke then will be fine

and she was a good buy was 650 with FSH and 103k on the clock and tax and tested and runs smoothly like

Definately looks like a 2.0 16v never seen a 1.8 look like that :S

nah there is a 1.8 DOHC 16v because in the haynes manuals it says that is doesnt cover the 1871cc dohc engine and its on the v5 as a 1.8 and everything matches up and do a dvla thing it comes up as a 1.8 cos i wasnt sure before i got it

It's a 1.8.... look at the front grille, the rear bumper and the for light surrounds.... they different to the 2.0 8v & 16v

I'm sure RobT's was once an 1800 (I think) I know they did do it in that colour!

yer it does i bought it from a dude localy to me like in the north east well over boro way but it could well be like

Spoiler and indicators kind of gave it away, good to know it's still out there and running

You sure? The passenger side is a twin headlight (GTi) and the drivers side looks like a normal headlight from a 1.4 or something

yer I had a look wen I got home and your right like the head lights are different and that's mental that it's your old ride have you got any old pics of it? and did you put the compos on cos there the old school type MOs lol I hadn't noticed the headlights were different :S I'll be having a look at angle eyes or smoked front lights like and it's being looked after mate and better than the guy who had it like last lol
