hey ppl sorry if this is in the wrong section but im new:confused:. i started having trouble with my car the other day, one moment it was driving and boosting normal, then all of a sudden the engine management was flashing and the car lost power, it still drove but very shaky and sluggish like when you try to drive really slowly in a high gear.

i had it on the diag and it came up with

P1297
Connection turbocharger - throttle valve pressure hose

the mec said that he also got crank ventalation valve on the diag which he said was common on the rs4/rs6 engines so it could be this?

if anyone could help me or have had the same problem with there car i would very much appreciate it

thanks again... the car is an 01 seat leon cupra;)

P1297 - I've had the same code come up on my diagnostic, car seems to be running fine and no loss in power. The mechanic cleared the code and advised to come back if the engine management light came on. Could really pi point what was causing it though.

have you gt the correct dv on there?

are the running problems always there hot or cold engine?

ideally you need to follow every pipe and check its tight and not split, theres a squashed pipe running down the drivers side wing. you need to get under to see it from memory.

ive had this code and it didnt effect the car and vanished by itself. not saying its the same but it might not be the running issue.

if i was certain i had no leaks id look at the maf.

Thanks for the info guys, I'll have good look around the engine this weekend.

Just out of interest could this be an old fault? The MAF was replaced around 10k miles ago, the diagnostic guy said it might have been an old error that wasn't cleared from the ECU, however the P1137 code (mixture too rich) is what triggered the EM light this time as i'd topped up my oil the previous day with some 10w40 VAG approved oil
