Thats my plan. Apparently the wiring for the electric ones is exactly the same too. Just need to be able to mount them

Thats the only reason i havent tried it yet, ive got manual mirrors and havent seen any manual polo ones come into the local scrapyard yet! The mounting plates look very similar though so cant see any problems fitting them

Where theres a will theres a way lol plus ive got some spare doors so i dont mind drilling them out to see if they fit if need be! But i will put this to practice as soon as, will be a good looking mod if it all works out!

Why would you want mk3 ibiza mirrors,

i now have a mk3 and having one big and the other small is just plain annoying, unless you can read german ebay and get a stubby which in that case get me one while your at it.

Leave the mk2 mirrors alone, m3 ones look crap.

I do like the look of the mk3 mirrors but i dont think they would suit the mk2, the polo ones would look alot better in my opinion...theyre alot smaller and smoother than both the mk2 and mk3s

I've got two stubby mk3 mirrors on mine. Got the passenger from a scrap yard and a stubby drivers one from Austria! Mk3 mirrors fit a mk2 perfectly, all the fixing holes line up. I got electric ones and just cut the wires off then just position the mirror in place with my hand and the motor holds it in place very solid. Manual ones are different tho, the cables are much longer on mk3 ones, but you could just hide the cable in the door card. (word of warning tho-don't just chop the manual cables off because they hold the glass in the mirror so you would have to glue it back in!)

I do think two mk3 stubby mirrors suit the mk2 better than the original huge square ones!

Hope this helps you all!
Merry Christmas! Kyle

And as far as the european mirror goes -

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170274027175

I got it from them, just email them asking how much is postage to england, and give them your address. Then just order it as usual.

It will come in a grey primer colour tho so you will have to get it sprayed.

Mine came really fast!

Hope this helps. Kyle
