Can anyone recommend anywhere that sells some cheap and cheerful coilovers for a non-cupra? only need the fronts and dont want to spend too much. obv i know the more you spend the better they are like!

We sell the AP's at £276.59+VAT (£318 all in) with free delivery at the moment. They are an amazing bit of kit for the money. They come with a 2 year warranty and we can normally have them shipped direct to yourself from germany within a week.
Hottuning are also good for the money, check fleebay. AP ones will be slightly better for that lil extra tho.
trs sale jamex coilovers 10 p+p and for my cupra the coilover set is 240 so 250 you get the lot..

WOW the prices on edition38 are cheap as fook!! Just makes me wonder how good they really are and what state they will be in after a year or so on the roads of london. Think i might wait and get a set of the H&R cup kit.... must be better quality and only like an extra £100 ontop of the other ones.
aren't H&R like 500+ starting price, then u get on to the V1,2,3's etc there like a grand+!!
the hottuning ones are ok, but you dont get what you pay fore, the drop onn them are good and the ride isnt to bad for 200notes, but you do gt what you pay for i the suspension world.

im guessing there is really no comparisson to be honest mate, 200 coilies will be made from the best of the worst materials, whereas you rkonis and the like are made from high quality materials and probably not made in a factory full of kids on 2p a day (like the 200 quid ones)
i believe the hottuning coilovers are basically the same as the JOM strut coilovers but are made in belguim. you will probably find that the ride will be a bit harsh (like a go kart) but they will do the same job, im ordering mine (off e38) next week so i will be able to tell you what there like then.
im pretty sure the H&R cup kit are only springs and not coilovers so they are around the £300 mark, but yeh the coilovers are very dear, near the KW V1's price!
You should buy hooch's pss9 bilsteins, they're cheap for £600!! LOL. It's what I have on mine and they're simply perfect in every way!! An investment if you're keeping the car for a while IMO!
I had the FK silverline X coilies on my corsa and cost me £600 with pnp in the end. They were a really harsh ride tbf but I paid the extra ££ to get the adjustable dampers and the stainless steel version. When I stripped them off the car to split it I managed to clean them up to look brand new which I was shocked as didnt expect them to be in such good condition after 7000 miles.
Still you get what you pay for in the moding industry, will be looking to spend around same mark for coilies for my cupra aswell, but looking for a lower and smoother ride than the FK offered.

for a smooth ride i would suggest weitecs, my mate had to on his 280bhp S3 and the ride wsas amazing even tho he had it droped about 80mm.
Thanks mate I will have a look at them, I was fed up of loosing so much traction when coming out of corners and roundabouts when the car was jumping all over the place where ride was so rough

What coilovers are best ride quality out of these three. Want to lower my cupra around 40 to
50 mm and more for looks than performance just the odd thrash now and again.

def not hottuning if you have the spare cash, just sent mine back the other week, im getting a set of AP's in the next few days.
