Fitted new induction kit and collected the STRAIGHT rear axle beam...

First thoughts, opened the box and well... it comes with everything! An oil breather filter, a aluminium pipe at perfect length and shape, awesome quality air filter, silicon pipe that leads from the ali pipe to the secondary air intake, various clips and ties, and a silicon joiner for the MAF to ali pipe connection.

Came to fitment, I removed the battery and air box shell, and had an inspection. Removed the original cold air feed and found the gap that leads down behind the bumper. Tried pushing the filter through from the top but it wouldn't go, thought oh damn I'm gonna have to take the bumper and headlight off here, but then I jacked the car up, got underneath and fed the pipe up from underneath.

Also here's a pic of the bargain axle beam which had actually previously come off a Cupra 2001 plate. As some of you may know, mine is bent in the one side. Going to fit it very soon.



Going to take her out for a good drive now and report the results. I honestly don't know why peeps pay three times this price for the same thing!

So what brand induction kit did you go for? Is the 007p any louder than the stock DV?

Not a brand induction kit. They are on ebay for £39.99 for the whole kit. People pay three times that for a 'brand'.

I never tried the stock Bosch valve with this kit so can't comment but I would presume the 007p is louder.

Just had look at that kit on ebay. Looks ok and cheap. Are you happy with it then?

It's brilliant for the money. I'm very happy with it, makes my Forge 007p much louder. You can also clearly hear it sucking air up the tube as you accelerate

The tube is the exact shape needed, not a cheap badly fitting product. The good quality filter fits nicely down inside the bumper. I think people pay three times that for the carbon fibre effect Carbonio tubing as this kit does the same thing otherwise and still looks good.
