lowering my 1.6

hi all, im thinkin about lowering my car and found these springs (only temporary till i can buy some coilies) but i was wondering whether this is for 4 springs or just 2?? has anybody bought jamex springs before???

no offence but dont bother with the springs...

thats another £57 not inc postage that you can put towards the coilies.

i put cupra suspension (£50) on my 1.4 then i have to get the tracking camber and alingnment sorted (£80).

then i decided i wanted it lower so £300 for coilies then another (£80) for the tracking, camber, alignment.

so in total £510 spent on something that i should have just paid out £380 for at the start.

do it right the first time and dont pay more than you have to.

i cant afford coilies anytime soon, i just want to bring my car back down from the clouds until i can find a set of coilies or the money to get some, i can get the tracking done free, just got to take it to my mates garage who will do it on the sly for us when there not too busy

hmmm.. if you really want to. lowering springs WILL WRECK YOUR SHOCKS.

and please if you do go ahead and fit these, make sure you take it to a good tyre place and get the camber, tracking and alignment done or we will have yet another post of 'my car doesnt handle very well now its been lowered' etc etc.

depending on your drop you want camber adjusted to -0.5 - -1.0 degree's

will it be ok if i get a set of cupra shocks though??? and what will the overall height of the car be lowered by as i heard, cupra's are 25mm lower as standard!?!?!

You won't notice that much difference with the Cupra shocks. The Sports suspension is good enough. If I were you I would just leave it as is until you can afford coilies, or look for a cheap set of shocks&springs like I did.

H&R Cup lowering 50/40 cost me £65 from Riko on here. If you are patient a set will come.
