Following this thread http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=173935&highlight=shades I contacted the company who make them, oesunshades (http://www.oesunshades.com/home.htm) and enquired about shades for the mk1 Leon. Well they did not do any so feeling cheeky I asked about them using my car as a development car and they agreed
They couldn't have been anymore hospitable. I arrived in Mansfield on Thursday at 8.30 and was given a quick tour of the production line and shown the 1800 units they were getting ready to ship to Honda. I was then given my Shogun loan car for the day. I returned to the unit a 16.00 hours and they were just finishing off the fitting photographs. I was then given for free the shades for the Leon and a free set for the missus' car too.
They shades look mint. They give the effect of tints without the hassle and permanent fit of them. They fit spot on to the edges of the windows, and the side ones are held with 2 small clips at the top which fit under the inner door rubber and the trim holds the lower part in place. The rear window ones are held in just by the trim.
When I was waiting for them to finish off the pictures I got talking to Stephen Giles who I sorted the development and mentioned this site. He said they had done a discount deal on BRISKODA and he would be happy to do the same for SEATCUPRA.NET too.
The deal is 20% off the retail price for forum members, just mention SCN. This is not only off the newly added mk1 Leon shades but any that they do AND not only for you but any other vehicle in your family you want shades for.
I will post some pics of mine when I get the chance.
