I have seen these rims on an FR+ in grey, they looked like they filled the arches nicely and were definately different but to be honest i didn't like them. But you could always try it;)

make sure you get decent replicas if you're going down this route as obviously the VW parts will not fit... Apparently there are very mixed reviews of replicas some people say the quality of craftsmenship especially on the more common Audi style replicas is absolute rubbish.

have a search mate theres a few threads on the gti replicas.... they look okat imo, audi rs6 replicas look better i think.....

i have inovit cts, check them out on ebay, good for big brakes too, i only payed £500 with tyres for them and there a quality alloy not replica

careful when lowering your diesel mate, sump is lower so youll catch it on everything if you go too low.

stick to 25-30mm max.

Pontypool ey... im from blackwood so not far...well ive lowered my LC 50mm all round....ive had no problems with mine at all... speeds bumps arnt my best friend... but im not botherd with goin over em slow.....

personally i would lower it at least 40mm....others would disagree with me.... james walker says the sumps are lower on the diesels... i cudnt comment on that cuz i dont know if they are or not... but i would bear that in mind... but i would say 40mm in that case.. bearing in mind the 18's will bring it up off the floor a little... i took the 18'' R32 wheels off my old golf and put them on my LC before it was lowered... it looked like a JCB.... so i got rid of em and got 17's....

most peeps on ere go for 18's and wont lower more than 30-35mm tops...
ive gone 4 17's and lowered 50mm.... its all down to personal taste

plus lowering it that much kills the ride....

18, 25-30mm looks perfect, not max power slammed, just righ for comfort and looks and handling

well there aint nutin wrong with the ride of mine and there are some pretty shocking roads around where i live... the only thing is that i have to go slow over speed bumps.. but that dont bother me...and goin over speed bumps at 20-30mph damages your suspension whether your car is lowered or not....

its up to you and what you want your car to look like... i personaly didnt like my car looking like a john deer tractor... so i lowered it quite abit....sorry about my car looking like it should be in max power.... cuz a leon lowered on audi wheels is soo chavvy..

anyway this is what my car looked like before

and this is after with the wheels and 50mm drop...
