Has anyone got a uprated manifold on the LCR?

to a point, but unless you are going for a large port head, it could be perceived as pointless, as spending all that cash on the uprated manifold will make very little difference on the actual road Vs a standard one

yes, it may give 10bhp more on paper, but I could not say a manifold for £500 or more could be justified for those gains though, unless going big power

remember it does not matter how bigger manifold you go, as the small port heads can only flow so much, so still you are restricted and end up with a bottle neck type effect, therefore making the larger manifold upgrade pointless

If you were going BT, then a larger manifold coupled with a large port head would make sense

Was a lovely rant tho , take it thats all the stuff you learnt from Bill then.

sure was:D was fantastic being shown all the different parts on the shelf and how each component compliments one another, nice to be shown and learn it while getting the car fixed

I will save that statement for another appropriate thread, dont steal my lime light though will you when the time comes about:D

:D

sorry Belsy, back on topic

I would call Bill @ Badger 5 and see what he can do

although if your hybrid turbo is rated to around 300bhp, without pushing it too hard and reducing its reliability and the standard mani can flow to 300, then perhaps not worth it

you may get some better spool and flow etc, but for the actual "on the road" difference I would suspect being very little

I have a THS high flow exhaust manifold and it works really well. Some of the bolts were a bu**er to fit but it looks OE and it made of cast iron same as the OE.:crash:

so has any got a uprated exhaust manifold?

Like I said, have a word with JBS. The did do an equal length one, but only one car got one fitted. The guy had a Hybrid K04 and with the manifold made +30bhp.

JBS don't do the equal length anymore, but I thgouht they did a tubular one.

that can't be right can it.....LC is k03s (later models) and the LCR is the K04, so completely different manifold?

AFAIK the ATP manifold (like mine) would fit both an LC and an LCR.......

fair enough, learn something new:)

has your manifold cracked yet Dave.....as I know a few others on here have had endless issues with the reliability of the ATP one?
