just knocked these up CF covers, any good?

please don't just say they're sh*t, if you don't like them then just say so. or if you think they're a bad idea then why?

after putting the battery in the boot i wasn't happy with what was left in the bay, so i made this up and a dipstick surround. i'm also going to do one for the other side where the washer bottle was to tidy it up.

it is real carbon fibre and is more yellow than in the pics.

I think they looked pretty decent for something you just knocked up. Liking the carbon fibre look and would match the whole onvi look!

Anyway it doesnt matter what anyone else thinks, aslong as you are happy with them thats all that matters, modding cars is all about being individual and doing your own thing, hats off to you for doing it!

thanks peeps thought i was going to get alot more negative.

i got my grubby mits on a 1m x 1m sheet of yellow carbon fibre sheet and went from there with some cardboard templates.

just trying to neaten it up really.

H17och - you may well be right. to look at and to work with it appears to be exactly the same as carbon fibre bar the colour.

i like it, it is a very nice touch. just need to be aware that the engine is not getting deprived of any cold air needed.

i will be getting around to that shortly, it doesn't effect and cold air getting to the engine, maybe the filter but i'll be making up some custom subtle ducting once i've fabricated a mount for my CAI.

well i'm moving my battery to the boot very soon, and i've also got rid of my washer bottle. so i have a lot of room that needs filling. carbon fibre could be good to fill them a template would be great!
