I thought I would put the stickers on to see what they looked like, they are only £7 for a set. The gunmetal paint is metallic and a little darker than the images show. Have to say I like it, will look good on a red car, a nice contrast.

The stickers are high temp, same with the caliper paint, so should look good for quite a while. Still waiting on new bolts, pins, etc. so as soon as I get those I'll fit them.

Gunmetal grey all round it is! :D

BTW - if anyone is looking for these stickers, look here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SEAT-Spor...-Leon-6L-6J-/351498970501?hash=item51d6f8a585

SEAT SPORT AP Racing calipers are finally back on! After sending them off to BCS to be fully refurbished, 2 weeks (they quoted 5-7 days turnaround but they said they had a lot of trouble with seized pins and bolts!) later I got them back. Today I got them back on. Turns out the original hoses are the correct 570mm Cupra ones, so the calipers were a straight swap. Bled the brakes using the Gunson Eezibleed and Pagid DOT4 fluid, bled both sides of each caliper until no air bubbles, no leaks so all good to go! (don't worry I had an axle stand under the car, not using just the jack to support it ... I'm no rookie!) I lubricated both the pins and bridge bolts before fitting them so they shouldn't seize - hopefully!

I ceramic coated the calipers too before refitting the wheels so they are well protected, BCS give their work a 2-year warranty too.

I'm going to paint the rear calipers gunmetal grey tomorrow so they match the fronts.

The more I do to this car the more I quite fancy keeping it! :)

Top job as always Rob, the grey looks good.

Might look into getting mine done at some point, they've gone a nice shade of redy/brown with the heat :)

Last few wee jobs on the Cupra. Brushed aluminium vent rings fitted, along with the gearshift surrounds too. Changed the wheel nut covers for the better looking VW ones. Don't know how but one of the rear light lenses got cracked, wasn't a big fan of them anyway, after seeing a couple of pics of Cupra's with red rear lights, I picked up a set from Ebay for £35 and swapped them over, gave everything a good clean and machine polished the lenses, looks great now, I think these look much better. Fitted a new Cupra badge too!

Car is up for sale now. If I can't sell it I won't actually mind that much keeping it, the more I do to it the better it gets! :D

Yes, first guy to come and see it bought it, paid the cash and drove off into the sunset! :D On the lookout for a new car now, has to be a 5-door though.

I'm not surprised! Another couple of months and I would have been on the first plane over and would have tore your arm off for it haha!
