hey peeps,

Does anyone have an idea why my car goes into limp mode every so often for like 10-15minutes? probs couple times a week, doesnt bring up a fault ect and if i switch the engine off and back on again it will still be in limp,

i.e. driving then i will try to boost but will be in limp mode....so i steady drive for 10-15minutes then try to boost again it will be back to normal, with in the 10-15mins i give it a little blip just to check if its still limp or not.

any ideas?

Thanks

Rich

there's another thread 'power problem' running which also discusses this same issue.

i fitted mine with a brand new h valve, went for a blat last night and it cut off boost again but mine only does it for a couple of mins.

i dont think the valve would reset itself if you turned the engine off, i think its the valves inside getting stuck or sumthin like that. when i worked at seat we did get a couple of cars in with your fault and it was just an n75 valve, intermittant boost faults like the maf was knakered, but no fault codes.

i will pm you my mob number- wont be able to have it this weekend tho sorry because its in my tool box at work which is closed.

I have not long fitted an n75j i think it works a treat!

nope still happened with the j valve, i ended up getting new spark plugs and a new maf but then it still happened and then completly went ito limp mode and wouldnt come out... so started to strip the car down to check the hoses and found a pipe had popped of the bottom of the tip,
