Was wandering what people use to keep there mats in place. Ive tried strong velcro and it usually only lasts about a week. Are there any clips you can buy to keep them in place, Havent seen anything in the local motor factors, Halfords or anywhere!

Anyone got any suggestions?

My Ibiza has retaining clips on the floor near the seat which hold them in place. Yours should have these too?? I think you can only use them if you have the origional mats.

If you don't have these clips then i'd try to cable tie them down. Either through the mat and carpet or to part of the seat. I did this on my 306 and it worked fine :)

Strangely it hasn't got these. There a set of the tailored mats for the ibiza i've got in at the minute, Will give the cable ties a go later

Depending what mats you have (expensive new ones or old ones). Use a soldering iron or hold a nail over the gas for a few seconds and melt some holes 1 inch from the end of the mat (seat end not pedals end) then cable tie through the holes and round the seat adjuster bar.

They will not move or fold up under your brake pedal any more. :D

Mine hasnt got the clips on the floor either but the standard ibiza mats which come with the car have got holes in them for the clips??

I think seat would probably try and sell you a full matt set :(
When i worked at halfords though (a long time ago) I noticed there matts have something very similar and they used to fall off all the time and we had loads of spares.
Maybe take a look round you local rip off halfords and see if there are any "lying around" if someone had asked me for some when i worked there i would have just given them a few.
Otherwise mate, ill try n find something for you, are you going to the meet ?

The clips would never screw in for me, seemed too weak.

My driver's one is just wedged under the dead pedal, never had a problem :)

Passengers one doesn't really tend to move that much!

It's £45 for the full set now! Was £26 for my original set in 2004. Hence why I bought some slightly used FR branded unofficial mats off of eBay instead when my original driver's one was all curled up and worn through. The clips didn't help at all really.
