People cannot advise on mods if you don`t say what you want from the car ie more power, better handling etc plus how much are you willing to spend ?

Sorry should have been more specific, just wnated to know if there were any inexpensive mods that I could do to just generally improve the car, been looking around the site and so far like the idea of the Flip key and the airbox smoothing mod. Just wondered if there was anything along them lines just to increase the joy of owning a Seat even more :)

Excelent choice of car, but I would say that! As said it depends what you want out of the car. Mine has a CC Phase 1 remap which has brought the performance up to that of the petrol hot hatches such as the Focus ST or Integra. I find the handling a little saggy and vague when put on the edge or at higher speeds, but this is just the way I drive the car so would suggest polybushes and uprated ARB's .

It depends really as said previously on what you want to achieve.

I really should have been more specific when I asked this question! I just wanted to know of any "must have" mods if there was anything that everybody does e.g Fabia rear wiper (which mine already has fitted) the rest I will decide upon when/if I have some money burning a hole in my pocket, performance of a ST does appeal to me though :p Originally wasnt going to change the headunit but Ipod connectivity would be a plus!

i have just ordered the same car (TDI FR+) on a 05 plate in the same colour.
i will be collecting it in 3 weeks time and will keep you posted.
for starters i will try and get used to the power for a month or two
with regular driving.
if you want to get the best of a remap you will need to sort out a good sports competition
clutch first, a good panel filter, a de-cat stainless steel exhaust then followed by a custom map
which should see the best part of 195-200BHP.
this is from my experience of mapping a 1.8 20vt.
and with all this power you will need to sort the brakes and stiffen up the suspension and roll bars.
this is what im going to do in the next 4-5 months.
