Right as embaressing as it is i need to break into my car k. When i bought the car the car came with one standard key and one broken one with the central locking control on it.

Also i have the standard ibiza issue/problem with the passanger door that i can unlock it but its not connected (£12 on ebay i know) and the standard key wont turn the driver side.

Now the car is off the road for 3 weeks and i left it for 6 days i went back and i cannot open the car as the battery has been drained. Probably due to stereo wiring i hadnt finished sorting or something.

SO my question, what is the best way to get into the bonnet to attach a charged battery to unlock the car.

PS. smashin window out t question as there tinted and bit exp. I was thinking about some way to pull the bonnet catch underneath if possible. Also the boot is out of the question....got a smoothed off boot panel lol doh!:censored::censored::rolleyes:

not that it helps, but its cheaper to get the parts from dealers btw. my drivers door did that and found that out

as for getting in, i have no suggestions i am afraid

Bonnet can be opened with out getting in the car as my bonnet release cable snapped and we got in.

Ibiza 95's suggestion is the best.

However if there is any juice left in the battery the alarm is going to sing like a good un, so be ready ;)

ok here goes

get a wire coat hanger, unwind it to make a long length, bend lil 90deg bend at the bottom

get masking tape, mask off the top off the door above window, mask of the roof where is meets the door, ( this is to prevent scrapes)

get a helper.

get them to gently grab the top corner of the door

slide in the hanger, make a grab for the interior door knob, is quite fiddly but should grab eventually, when it grabs it, pull it up but still keep the pressure applied.

hey presto your in!

this should work as my dad had an inca van and this is what he did. I may not work if the door has double locking thou!

have fun

Thanks guys there all brilliant ideas, some more than others but i will definately try to release the catch and thanks for the warning about the alarm, ill just disconnect the siren for the alarm system. Should do the trick lol.

Ps. Jus realised got one problem bloody jack is in the boot and i got a bodykit so a standard jack wont work, its k i got a few mates who could help with that one.

if u give the seat dealer u chassis number and your details they will b able to give u a replacement key to open the doors manualy with the locks that came standard with the car.

i know this because i locked a fiat punto with the keys in it in my work ( garage ) so cost me about £10
