I'll let you know. Will definately get one !

Yes ridicilous it doesn't have it standard ,

I guess the timed switch also will not have 2 positions (in/out) like the normal one.

It must be tip-touch :
Press to turn on, switch will light orange and return flat ,
press again to turn off - or untill timer runs out.

Thats interesting Vince, let us know how you get on, its been bugging me that you have to turn it off manually, even my old 1990 rsturbo has a timed one - what were they thinking.

That's why you need a timed one :)

Fair point!

On a similar theme on my old Mondeo (2004) the headed rear screen came on automatically when you hit the demist button on the climate control (i.e. one button would turn on aircon, fans full blast on front screen, heated front and rear screen on and heated mirrors on) that was pretty handy!

best thing ford did was heated front screen, but then made soooooooooooooo many people lazy as never de-iced the side windows

Yeah that's the only thing I'll miss about that car this winter.
I'd start the car up, get the heated screens on then go round and scrape the side windows, by the time I'd done that the front was totally clear. Also meant you could use the screenwash without it freezing as soon as it hit the glass which was very useful on wet salty motorways!
