That Race Diagnostics one looks the business ... I see they do a fully assembled TT vent one ... do the TT vents fit in the Leon or do you have to assemble yourself for the Leon?

They do a Leon vent as well, I bought the bare kit and adapted it for a 60mm pod. Was quite simple with a Dremel and some careful sanding.
It really is a great bit of kit and possibly the best mod Ive bought for my Leon

Actually I think it looks quite crappy / cheapo.
Or is it just me ?

Some low-res cellphone micro tft screen?
(And for that price I can buy 10 real gauges)

Besides : anything digital will suffer from lag and will miss responsiveness !

I really want a mechanical boost gauge. Electronics just can't keep up with that,
rendering it useless. Believe me. Also I need oil temp and oil pressure gauges.
Real gauges :) With dials !

A triple pod a-pillar will look awesome !

And not something like this! ... (Yuck!! :))

how can you possibly comment on a product youve not sen, tested...

imo mechanical guages look shite stuck on the dash or a great big a pillar pod.....

i would also cut the attitude on the forum for people that are trying to help, and slah=gging off very good products youve no idea about...

how can responsiveness be poor when it tracks and logs data live from the ecu, instead of cutting your boost pipes...

do you know what constant bhp and torque your engine is running at, can you read and clear fault codes with your gauge, check your lambda probes, run 0-60 times and log!!!

oh and have a permanant boost guage screen?

not with a mechanical guage you cant

Cheers James. Have to say I think it looks better in the TT air vent then the Leon one, but I guess its personal choice. I personally wouldnt want to lose a vent, so Im thinking of where else it could go for when I can afford one!!

PS....anyone tell me where the port is you plug it into....never done VAG COM or anything like that, so dont know! Ta

I know, but I just don't fancy it, sorry.
(and I can do all that with vag-com if I need to).

I am just looking for a 3 pod a-pillar,
that's why I started the thread. I didn't ask
for a sales talk about this device.

And it's gonna hold only mechanical gauges, including boost.
Electrical / digital simply can't hold up to that.
Yes, It's nice and blingy to look at, but not very usable (IMO)

Compare a electrical - to a mechanical boost gauge
and you know what I mean ...
Let alone a reading in digits instead of a dial.
With an update rate of half a second or so...
Ever seen a digital speedometer ?

Besides that, the sensors already in the car that the ecu (and thus this device) uses,
are also known to be very inaccurate.

Yes, digital is good for static data, like temperatures, etc.
But not for fast changing values, like boost, rpm, airflow, speed.
Then you will see the skips and averaging.

Here you can see the difference bewteen an electrical & mechanical boost gauge,
for instance. The electrical one is almost useless.

So anyone ?
3 pod A-pillar please ?

mate if all you want is a 3 pillar holder then wiuden your search, ...google maybe,

no one so far has given you a link so try asking nomad direct as they manufacture them,

or make your own in the centre vent as a few people on here have done.
