Diff will transform the car in the corners, fully adjustable coilovers, arbs etc etc but most importantly good tyres. Doesnt matter what suspension set up you have if you run crappy tyres.

To fine tune and possibly adjsut damping. Not really practical to adjust for different roads regarding height considering you should have allignment, tracking and camber adjusted correctly again each time you adjust it. Also I do not really tend to adjust damping on the road. If I was going to track it would be a different matter.

wider? would it be worth getting 8"wide over 7.5"? or wider at the rear only? running asyms at present.

saw a vid of a guy at the ring loosing it for no apparent reason.. suggested suspension too soft. can you go too hard ? im imagining the weight of the car bouncing up and taking its weight off the rear hence no traction. but if you go too hard wont it absorb less and then bounce more?

not to sure really. stiffness will be limit of comfort for road use before compromising handling I would have thought. Tyre wise I was talking about quality ie get some really good grippy ones instead of just pretty good ones. Too wide tyres can also give less grip in certain situations.

guys as much as I appreciate the banter, its not really relevant to the thread, thank you :)

anyway tightened the bolt on the car that I could get to, and as soon as I do, it pretty much works itself loose again!

boost feel really jerky now and a definite drop in power thats for sure!

Wednesday can't come soon enough

So you are on the OEM nuts with a slot cut in them? I've not have problems with these personally. Are you re-using them? I think they are a one time shot.

I would recommend nord-loc washers as others have said.

Also as a quick fix, you could wind two nuts onto the same thread and tighten them up against each other to grip the thread.

i spent 4 hours trying to do the nut up under the mani near the head what a pain it was but as soon as it was tight was lose again as though it was pulling the stud out of the turbo and not actually tighten up :(.

hope you get it sorted though mate i know its causing a problem on mine too.

Threadlock?

AMD said the bolt may have "stretched" from the expansion of the manifold from its initial bedding in stages...

on the nuts supplied by JBS, and yes it appears they are a one time shot. I remember from my k03s conversion on my old ibiza cupra that the same happened, replaced the bolts and then it was fine

you need special modified spanners really to do them up properly, and yes, did mine up, drove it hard to test it, and the whistle was not their initially but came back pretty quickly....and the bolt had come loose again!!

over to AMD now:(

yea think going to have to take mine to ADS to get nuts replced with proper ones and nordlock washers stop it from coming undone.

shame the nuts are letting down such a good manifold too.

I can't even be bothered to report it to JBS as they will just say its the turbo blah blah blah as when I called James at JBS, he was adament it was nothing to do with the manifold

well the nuts and bolts were supplied by JBS, so yes it is to do with the JBS product!:(

if we are having these issues, then I am sure there are more people who have found this to be an issue, but just have not reported it

still, I aint gunna waste my energy arguing with JBS. end result its costing me more money (labour and garage time) for parts of a product supplied by them[:@]
