Thats impressive. I got about 150miles the other day when the beep went - gonna try and see how much I can eek out of it now:D

I cant understand how you guys get such good MPG. It must be the lack of traffic. I know traffic seriously effects MPG but i doddle in 5th most of the time and try not to take the revs over 3000rpm on most changes and i still cant crack more than 28mpg a week. But i do get alot of traffic most days!

What do you guys do to get a good mpg?

It's not so much keeping under certain RPM's (for me anyway) I have to keep under 10inHg vacuum to get any sort of decent MPG -- it's quite easy on the motorway but in stop-start it's a lot harder!

I was lucky to get past 300miles for a full tank out of the cupra. The Warrior gets anything from 18-33mpg!! Usually town driving and short dual carriage way runs so mostly the lower end of the figures:headhurt:

i dont normally drive it like that, just wanted to see what it could do :D

but being my daily drive, even driving it so nicely still costs me £60 a week, but hey, normally costs me £80 a week, and its so much fun :D

right on mate.

if you want economical buy a suzuki alto like my misses. Costs absolute peanuts in insurance and road tax, and seems to drive on air instead of fuel.

However people that join sites like these and drive cars like ours shouldn't really look too much at mpg's. The cars weren't made for that.

right foot down, and a smile on my face :D

got 424 miles out of it this time

does help when putting 51 litres in, when its only just gone into the red, not bad considering its only a 45 litre tank :D

just had a thought.

Go to petrol station, fill up (51 litres) then show the assistant the handbook where it states a 45litre tank. Then claim that they are fiddleing and want 6liters cost back. :D

kinda liking my figures today.

Had car just over a week and have used about £90 worth of V Power. Time to fill up again last night. Anyway, I've decided to try and not boot it everywhere.

So resent computer this morning, full tank, 205miles on tank apparently. MPG slowly crept up. after about 7-10miles to work, I have 235 miles in tank. Get to work (about 14-15 mile) and it says I have 275 miles left :D

No doubt the first time I boot it for a minute, it'll drop to sub 200 :D

just to update on this, managed 401 miles out of it not so long ago, which aint back concidering i'm now running hybrid k03s :D

had to take it easy due to blowing manifold to turbo gasket, and was 500 miles away from home, hence the miles, but that was sat at 70 on motorway for almost all of the miles, worked out at 42mpg, as red light hadnt even come on  so still had a few more miles left to go easily

Loads left in it :p I had a worrying trip home from Bridgwater last week - left a mate's house with just over 1/4 of a tank to cover my journey of ~60 miles.

Sunday night at 2am so no petrol stations open. I boot it for 10 minutes.....fuel light lol

47 miles to go - crawled it all the way home off boost and hit 0 miles on the trip computer as I pulled onto the drive. I didn't dare try and get it to a petrol pump the next day so had to fill a petrol can up and bring it home. Happy days

I never trust the trip computer but the needle was only just above the empty. In all honesty I reckon there was another 10-15 miles in it but I also didn't fancy sucking up too much **** from the bottom of the tank

well i live i the centre of edinburgh so mainly town driving and a 10 mile round trip to work each day and i have never seen anymor than 260 miles to a tank. usually getting 27-28 mpg if i get a bit of motorway driving under my belt it creeps up to 33-35. crazy how everyones can vary soo much.
