All k03 cars are 150bhp and before most are pre 2001 so dont have egt or wideband. Most post 2001 cars have me7.5 which has egt and wideband including k03s and k04. Only ones that dont that I know of are mk3 ibiza cupra because they stopped being made during the transition period that the change was being done and have me7. Mk4 ibiza cupra is me7.5 so should have egt and wideband. You dont get a read out for it anywhere apart from in vagcom. I may be wrong but it would go against all I have been led to believe on it. Bill knows about it all. Maybe he can enlighten us!

well ive just recived my egt sensor at work and im 99.9% sure i dont have one of them on my car! its a probe with a long braided jacket around the wiring which is around a foot long with a black box on the end ive had my car in bits and im certain i havent seen this before so maybe it has gone against your belifes PJ wish i did have one as its cost me £145!

looking into internals and bigger turbo options at the moment but will wait to get the car back from jaba to see how it is maybe it will be enough  if so i will still be doing internals just for piece of mind!

Ive never seen a K03s car come with an egt as standard. Not even the new k03 cars (leon fr etc) come with one. Only the k04 cars (leon cupra etc) do. The old K03s cars do have the larger 1mb ecu file, but im sure thats for the VVT as they dont have wideband lambdas or egt.

What gauge did you go for mr rash?

too late now

0-60 i have a print out for 4.3 0-60 and this was with blowing turbo gaskets, slipping clutch, bald tyres and no lsd which is all sorted now so maybe lil quicker now

top end tbh im not sure ive never tryed and i think im mature enough never to try but im sure its around 160+

jabba have taken a look at my car and the news is frustrating there is 5 fault codes ranging from timing to sensors! exstreamly annoying but hey it will be sorted and running propper with a bit of jabba loving :D

Rash you should have got a SPA design egt and boost gauge, as they come with all the sensors on there..... about £300 but worth it as they are the best on the market. ive been looking at the GT2871 set up ;) so watch this space :)

could of got my ihi setup for so much cheaper if i had look around more  feel ripped off and my lack of turbo knowledge has been abused! but it certainly sounds like im on the right line now

having the jbs downpipe modifyed so the flexy hose is nearer the turbo as jabba say ive chewed my 6th turbo gasket! so theyre sorting the design of the downpipe out,

got the new remap going on and 2 new sensors!!!!!!!!!!!!!

also taken the plunge and have asked for quotes on the 1.9, pistons, rods, valves ect :D

I'm sure I read somewhere that you already had the block bored to 1.9?

The new wheels look amazing aswell

be running around the same for now.
but much more reliable

the plan over the next few years is

2008-get car running 350bhp reliably
2009-internals and bored out to 1.9 will be completed
2010-4x4 convertion
2011-massive turbo 450bhp+
