Cant remove my oil filter!
Have tried getting it off with rubber gloves and with a tool but it is fixed solid.
Anyone had this trouble on an ABF or has any tips?
Otherwise I will have to just waste some nice clean oil going through the dirty old filter just to get my car back on the road

...crezz MAKE SURE u dont round off the plug mate, mines ****ed ...still trying to work out a way to take the **** off ...its rounded grrr!!! garage quoted me something like £180 i think to take sump off and drill plug out and refit with a new plug. ...think ima invest ina pela pump as i got the garage to do it for me last time as i couldnt remove the plug. do all the deposits n crap get cleared up too?? or do they just stay at the bottom of the sump?

had a similar problem
you want to drill through it
then get a cheap large drill bit and hammer it in
then voila u shud be able to turn the drill bit with a spanner and loosen the sump nut

obvs u will need a new sump plug but their hollow in the middile

i did this on a bmw so id look at a sum plug before but i got it out with out having to retap it
its either that or file a new head onto the plug and try a smaller socket [B)]

have you tried using the 'chain' type tool?

they can be a bit tricky to get on, but once they get a good grip they do the job nicely ;)

They work a treat, was having a mare with my last one till my "fix it" mate turned up with one and he had the filter off and a cuppa in hand in 3 minutes flat.
