I cant believe i have missed this thread. Lovely work mate! Love the car and cant wait to see it at ED38 :D

Thanks for that, looking forward to seeing yours if that bird is attached to it. :D

All back to metal, just going through the grades and polish i think, only a couple of hours!

Picked the rocker cover up last night. :D

Fair play my polisher has done an awesome job on it once again just like the inlet mani.

Got it with me in work to bond in some cap heads for the bolt down coil packs so i can fit it tonight.

The coil packs will be held down with chrome 'pike' nuts, basically chrome spikes. lol.

Also i will be dteailing the car tonight, wheels off whilst its up on ramps, clay, wipe down with IPA wipes, steam clean the engine bay, polish, sealant, glaze and wax, couple of coats of each is just a hint at what ill be doing. :D

Pics as usual to follow.

Maan... no corners cut here! I just read the whole thread and fair play it's one of the most interesting ones i've read! Can't believe I can't make it to ED38 when it's only up the road from me, I'd love to see it in the flesh. It's already been said, but that is the best looking engine bay i've ever seen! Do you live near Cardiff then I'm often up there as my GF's family live there, have to keep my eyes open for you...

Got home at 1.20am last night, or this morning i should say.

Car is looking pretty clean if i do say so myself and the rocker cover looks awesome.

I wont be going up to E38 until tomorrow morning as i cant finish work til 5, so by the time i get up there it will probably be dark!

Thanks martin, need to attack the other side as well.

Over the winter months i'm officially on 'tidy up' duties, going to be doing all things i've been putting off for a while.

Bolt covers from good old ebay, and the 'pike' nuts from ebay as well, they are actual nuts as well, for the rocker cover i had to bond in some threaded stud and hold the coilpacks down with those pike nuts.

wow that is so nice. Love it. I am not seeing any wire running to your injectors. How you manage to hide that so well?

and maybe you have already told us and I missed it, but did you replace your washer reservoir, or simple got rid of the entire thing?

top work on this car. I have said it before, but definately the nicest looking bay I have seen on here or in the flesh for that matter!
