Well the trailer company has just been ... and my car is too low to get on their truck ... FFS, I can't get a break anywhere. I think I'll just torch my car and take the insurance money. [:@]:censored::doh::banghead: :banghead2

I HATE MY CAR AND I HATE ATP.

too low, even with wooden blocks to allow the car to get onto the ramp?

It's not the start, it's the middle where the ramps join to the truck, it's like an angle that as the car moves up onto the truck the middle underside of the car will catch.

They have a bigger truck that the entire bed moves back and down, so will fit on that, but it's more expensive plus I'll have to push the car approx. 200 yards to the truck because the truck is too big to get round to my driveway.

Front bumper IS off.

Car currently looks like this:

Access to driveway looks like this:

Tiny archway only allows cars and small vans, the guy had his truck right up to the gates this morning though and it was all looking perfect, then he said no way. Bigger truck will not fit through archway. Earliest they can come back is Saturday morning.

I've suffered really bad luck my whole life - guess what - nothing changes.

Oh its one of those trucks. Flatbed with a dropping bed is all I have ever fitted on. Sounds like you may have some puching to do. Why dont you do the work you were going to do when Star had done theirs before the flatbed comes so it can be driven back totally finished from Star.

I know your taking it up to star, but i sold my AM04 turbo to a lad off here and fitted it with a JBS mannifold, found it quiet easy to install with the turbo connected to manni , looked impossible in situ to connect them both together, only problem is i had to remove engine off the mounts and move it forward to get it in place, once the engine was moved forward i fitted it (including dp) in approx an hour, just trying to give you a guestimate on how much it should cost from star

If you remove the long driveshaft, then it will fit up behind the engine from below.

Interesting, would the dogbone mount have to be undone too? So if all 3 mounts were undone the engine would move forward a few inches - where would you support the engine, under the sump on a jack? I have new mounts to fit anyway.

I have a dodgey back (like many others I guess). Anyways, I swapped mine from underneath. No getting round it, you have to swap between being under the car and over still.

Drive shaft is 6 or 8 torx screw and the 30mm big one at the hub. Then undo the three ball joint nuts and the steering end to give enough clearance to get the shaft out.

Don't go doing any permanent damage to yourself. Not worth it. Back muscles/discs or wallet. You choose.

i just got the engine off the engine mounts, moved it forward slightly, just enough to get it in position to bolt it all together, i used a engine lift, was only really saying it to give you a heads up on cost from star really, as i know not everyone has access to engine lifts

Ah ok, no engine hoist here, probably easier for them just to remove the DP, fit the turbo and manifold then refit the DP - that's all I need done really, I can put all the rest back on myself. Hopefully a couple of hours labour charges at the most.

Walbro fuel pump and wiring harness arrived from USRT today - NO response whatsoever from Pro Alloy or Jabba Sport regarding a baffled sump, useless companies I can do without.

FINALLY ............. my car is on a truck and on its way up to Star today, what a carry on getting it on though, my God! Anyway, it will be at Star by 1pm.

Hopefully it will be all done and driving by the middle/end of next week.

Anyone know the best thing to get rid of oil spills on the driveway? I'm going to try my pressure washer with some general detergent in it.
