Sorry to hear about your back. I have sciatica and I've no idea why I climb under my car some days.

** latest updates ** - car is being trailered to Star tomorrow, looks like they'll start putting it all back together on Monday, so should be back on the road by middle of next week hopefully. All I need them to do it refit the turbo, manifold and exhaust, plus fit the track density dogbone mount too, I'll fit the oil cooler, street density engine mounts, etc. myself when I get it back home.

I asked Jabba Sport if they had any baffled sumps as I'd like one fitted while the car is up in the air and has no oil in it ........... as usual they have none and are very little help. Ianb - I have no idea how you managed to get one, I've been trying for a year. :banghead: Seems a lost cause.

USRT have despatched the Walbro fuel pump and harness.

I've dropped a line to Pro Alloy, if required I'll have Star remove my sump and send it to them for modification to have the baffles added.

Rob, you keep getting me to spend money! grrr!:D

first the oil cooler, and now a sump!

A baffled sump is only really needed for trackdays Jamie, I plan on doing lots of trackdays hence the need for a baffled sump and oil cooler.

hmmm ok

I think the oil cooler is still a good buy though, if the car is getting hammered on the road or track:)

The only VAG tuner in Scotland, they've offered to trailer it up for me, a chance to redeem themselves, Dastek have a reputation for blowing up and breaking cars, Wallace is in Aberdeen so way too far .... no other choice?

why does it have to be a vag garage to fit a turbo?
nothing special about it being a VAG

Better the devil you know?

Don't know really, I don't trust an unknown garage, most of the tuners up here ALL have bad stories about them. Dastek are fairly close to me but have a really bad reputation, they've blown at least 4 engines I know of and broken a few bumpers, wheels, etc..
