I remember seeing something about that yes, shame as that would have been great. If I can't get the turbo and mani on I'll have to trailer it up to Star for them to do it up on their ramps (I wonder if they'd let me hire one of their ramps for a day?).

Who would you contact to have your car trailered? I have NO clue!

I got stainless steel washers for the engine mount bolts from my local Screwfix, so the mounts are good to go.

I've used local breakdown/recovery companies to move cars in the past Rob. If you go show your face in their office and tell them exactly what you want, you've a very good chance of them taking care of your car.

Ok cool, thanks. I don't want to have to do it, but I have a pretty sore back tonight and it may prevent me from finishing the job, it went once before when working on the car and I was in alot of pain for a while!

I sympathise. :( That's my trick and it usually happens at the worse possible time. - and, like me, no one to lend a hand?

I took my "revised" ATP manni off this week, was ALOT easier to take off than my old one,and i do mean ALOT, took about 45mins and it was off, but.......... it still has a MASSIVE crack in it. (bare in mind this is the second one iv had in a year !)

ATP might have revised the fitting/removing of it, but not the physical strength of it, il post pics of it later on (im in work at the mo)

Manni is now in the bin never to be seen again

I can give you a hand mate if you're struggling with your back not that mechanically minded but can take instructions well :D

not available this weekend but can help you next week if you need

Yep! Last time it went was about a year ago, could hardly move for a week! It hasn't gone yet but all that stretching and crawling is taking its toll.

If I can't get it back on by the end of the weekend or my back goes, it will have to be trailered.

Well I have to admit defeat, my back is killing me and I'm no further forward, so I'll have to get the car trailered up to Star.

Anyone know any companies who can trailer it from Edinburgh to Kirkcaldy, I tried contacting a local recovery company and they're not interested?

check out ebay... I found a load of haulage places that stuck cars on flatbeds for about £1-£1.50/mile one way (if one of the locations was local to them)
