Eliminators never make their max numbers anyway, you'll never see 350bhp from a GTRS Eliminator, in transverse form they struggle to get over 300! I've never seen ATP saying the GT2X will ever do 300bhp - optimistic dyno if it did.

pub talk anyway, tis how it drives at the end of the day I guess

having just updated my build thread, I am not sure even with hybrid treatment that the gt2x can make 300bhp - dyno lottery

No idea? What sort of turbo is that, Jap?

I tried some of the bolts tonight, the 3 holding the turbo onto the manifold were not that tight, surprised at how easy they came loose but not *THAT* surprised given that I'm finding the same all round my car where Star have fitted stuff. My intake manifold bolts were not very tight either.

So just the 4 downpipe bolts to be undone and the turbo will come off. There is an oil return hose under the turbo yes?

Very true, all you ever heard before from Jabba, Songman, Bill, etc. was all IHI.

why would anyone, as if they had ever followed your threads it is obvious you have chosen a path, and that was not going to be reversed.s

IHI is a viable choice on sensible levels.. as is GT28RS for comparible levels, but if you are fixed on retaining the ATP manifold then...... your choices are limited. (if you are going to retain the ATP manifold.)

Sometimes to go forwards you have to backwards..... but I have said this before so wont bore you with it now rob.

I'm open to using any turbo and manifold Bill, but it has to be affordable as I don't have £5k lying around. For a while the Jabba IHI route was the only BT route, but now a few more options are open - Elims, JBS hybrids, Backdraft.

Not looking for huge power, an affordable 300 is what I seek.

An oil temperature gauge is worthwhile on a BT car. Mine hasn't given me any indication any more cooling is required. I'd fit a gauge first and take it from there...

very true

although fitting one cant do any harm though?

I've had Defi oil temp and oil pressure gauges for a long time.

What thread is on the oil filter housing so I know what plate to get? I believe a 16-row cooler is about right, 13-row is only good for up to 200bhp?
