Yep.
My usual gauges are
bhp ........................MPG for tank
km/h ......................Instantaneous MPG

Still working throught getting calibration right. -2 for speed is correct and -8.6 for fuel at fillup
also, you should set the fuel cutoff to 5. Your TPS reading with foot off the throttle when driving in gear + 2

Is the boost readout facility not compatible with the mk 1 Leon. I was considering buying one but would like that function.

The problem with the scangauge and most other tools like tthis is that they use the OBD2 protocol but VAG 1.8T cars only provide a small amount of info over the OBD2 protocol.

All of the interesting info from 1.8T cars is provided over the KW1281 protocol (the one used by VAG-COM for example) there is only one digital gauge on the market which uses this to show boost data etc.

Scangauge is more of interest though to those who dont have the on-board computer and to get mpg etc information. The bHP and boost etc is generally secondary.
That other digital gauge you make does not have fuel calculation information that scan gauge has though. If it did it would definitely be better. Worth considering for future.

Still not gettin nethin tho :S, its getting power but just keeps connecting.

Just incase anyone tries this stupid trick !

Had the ScanGauge now for about 6 months, excellent piece of kit !. After about 4 full tanks it gets pretty accurate.

I usually wait till about 1/4 tank of fuel then fill to the brim and do a "fill up" on the Scangauge. However, last Tuesday was a bit different. I had let my tank get a bit low, expecting to fill up shortly...which never happened!.

Anyway, i drove past a petrol station and thought i'd better put some petrol in, but as it was 92.9p/litre i only put £5 worth in (with the view to filling up to the brim when i reached home, as it's only 88.9p a litre there).

When i put the £5 worth of fuel in i did the stupid thing of doing a "fill-up" on the ScanGauge and the readings went mental ! (as i hadn't really done a full fill up......realised that AFTER i had reset it!).

The fuel used went up to 555 gallons on a 10 mile trip !!!).

Anyway, i thought it would correct itself on the next full fill-up.

Yesterday i went to do a fill-up and when i went to enter the gallons i had put in it said 555gallons !!! - and i had to sit there and press the down key 5000 times (as it goes in 0.1 increments) !!!!!! to get it to say 9.8 gallons !!!, readings were then still rubbish.

I have now had to do a reset and start again !, now i have to wait a couple of months for the accuracy to even out !!!! hmmmm.

My stupid fault !!

Moral of the story: don't do a "fill-up" on the SG unless you are really filling to the brim !

My settings seem standardised now at -2 for speed and -10.3 for fuel.

xd, when you say -10.3 for the fuel, do you mean the "cut off" point ?. Mine was set to -5, but if -10.3 makes it more accurate then i'll try that

James, i simply velcro'd it to over the cup holder button on the dash and it looks great !. I'll get a picture of it's placement and post on here shortly.
