I think Im going to try and get to a show to see both of Roly's and Martin's cars in the flesh. If not this year then next year. Both cars look amazing and I really do appreciate all the time and money they have both spent getting them the way that they want them. Although they do say a modified car is never finished

My car's far from perfect but it's what i want and how i want it (well almost) i deffinatly want to get to more shows with it but it seems to spend more time in bits than it does on the road

i want to ask you a question.. do you know what are the dimensions from the intercooler? do you know for how much horsepower is this one ok? what other radiator have you used? do you have clima in you car?

Not sure on the dimension of the cooler but they may be posted in one of the many laguna intercooler threads
I've just upgraded to a k04 and it looks like the cooler is struggling to do it's job now (need to do some logging once it's running correctly to confirm)
Radiator wise im using the standard non air con 2.0 16v rad just relocated back towards the engine and i don't have climate control fitted as i didn't want it on the car

Another little update

I seem to be starting more jobs than im finishing at the moment

I've decided im not happy with the way the battery sits in the boot so it's going back in the engine bay untill i can get a decent battery that i can mount elsewhere.

Sunday i started work on the oil cooler, i didn't really want to chop the front panel up again but after a bit of pursuasion from Martin the airsaw came out and a chunk of metal wen't missing, this has freed up room for the cooler right where i want it.

The running of the lines was all decided untill this afternoon when i figured out if i change the intercooler i can actually run the oil cooler lines through with no more chopping.
Again im stuck now untill the air filter turns up so i can log the car properly and see how the cooler is actually performing before i decide on a new one if required.

Ignore the stack of washers in the pics, there only to get the correct height untill i get something a bit neater made up

Time for another small update, although there's not alot to tell :(

Battery is now back in the engine bay, just got to remove the rest of the wiring to the boot and tidy up the cable's in the engine bay.
My air filter arrived at last but due to the battery now being back where it was it doesn't fit in the remaining space so it's back to standard air box again and sort out another filter

I've now got a month left before the Auto tuner show so need to pull my finger out and get things sorted or i won't be making it onto the track

Hopefully the next update will be good news

well mate, im at work have just read the thread from page 1! cant wait to go out with k04 power now, was frightening enough with k03s! agreed with others though, definatley the most complete ( or never complete in your eyes! ) mk2 in the country, you should be hounding performance VW for a feature now.
A home made masterpiece! love it. having had the leon for nearly a year i wish i had my ibiza still with 20vt power.
i want a passeneger ride soon!

Finally making some progress!!

At last i finally feel like im getting somewhere with the car, although i don't think it'll be ready in time for autotuner which is a shame

I've finally decided to get the car mapped again to suit my driving style and use, so now im in the process of removing parts and replacing them with the items required by my chosen mapper

Fuel pump has been ditched in favour of an LCR pump and the 440cc injectors are being replaced again with LCR items.
Intercooler has been siezed up and im just waiting on a delivery from forge so i can start fabbing up the pipework.

Im hoping by the middle of next month it'll be up and running ready for a bit of fine tuning before Donny

Only pics i have at the moment are new fuel pump in place and injectors which i'll be fitting tomorrow, i'll try and update more over the weekend
