I got 4 for mine the other day. Was hoping for two, but Micheldever said the other two were shot :(

At least when it goes up for sale it will have 4 x new tyres and 80k service. Plus the 5 x LC wheels

Pabs how is the new motor, gone through a set of tyres already ;) what size are they on the Supra?

you got yet another set of tyres mate ? Not good :( I was in Micheldever on saturday getting mine done though!

I was there last Friday.

In total I've got 10 wheels at the moment and I can't be arsed to put the LCs on ebay etc. I could have put the LCs back on and just got two new Michelins but I decided to leave it with the LCR rims. I'll shove the car up for about £5k with all the wheels etc. for a quick sale

But i do like the falkens, I don't think i prefer them to the PS2s though

Just hope nothing expensive on Friday at JKM

Bringing up and old thread but im just in the market for some 2 new front tyres, i have 4 x vredestiens ultrac sessanta on at the moment, although ive only driven the car for the last 5k miles or so, they seemed great.

Basically wondering if i should get 2 Falkens and put the barely worn rear vredesteins on the front or leave them where they are and put the new falkens on the front? basically which tyres would you rate better for taking a beating on an LCR :p

With my service just done this month im on a fairly low budget so it will have to be falkens, just need some advice on where to put them!

Cheers,
Sean

Well I went for Toyo again this time. Was tempted to get GSD3s because they do quite well in reviews but I think there's nothing in it against the proxes. Proxes were great on my last car (200sx) the Falkens I took off were just ditch finders (I don't know what they were, not likely that they were 452's)

Problem I have is my tyres are out of sequence. I'm guessing a previous owner had a puncture at some point so one tyre is now worn to limits and the rest have only done a few k.

Hopefully having on new tyre won't throw the handling off too much :p

Hoping to get new wheels in a few months anyway so meh..

Oh and I decided to go local. I compared the Camskill/MyTyres prices to local and after fitting it looked like I would save a WHOLE £5. It just wasn't worth it on a single tyre purchase. Buying 2 or more would have saved postage though so would save almost £20 a pair

camskill is fairly local to me but il probably still get them delivered and fitted locally, would be like £30 to fit roughly?

I just ordered some BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW NT in 235/40 18 for my LRC rims. Anyone with experience on these?

I replaced my two front tyres (GSD3's) with new asymmetricals last week, as the GSD3's are to be discontinued.

The new asym's are about the same as the GSD3's in the dry (which is great) but out perform them in the wet.

A bit more money, but worth it I think. Plus they look the same from the side as the old GSD3's on the rear :)

Would be worthwhile swapping them to your rear if you can otherwise could be a little tail happy...

Hopefully you've read this whole thread, if your not more enlightened after it perhaps try the search buttom. There is a huge amount of info on this subject.
Try camskil, mytyres or blackcircles for prices and tyre ratings

can you confirm what size your tyres are? my advice would be find out recommended tyres, them see what they cost on camskill, this price will be very competitive.

But for LCR owner (or those with 18" alloys):
I have found goodyear GSD3s to be excellent and good value, but its only current stock left as have been disscontinued. Can be got from camskill for around £90. These have been replaced with the goodyear assymetrics which have excellent reports. I think about £115 for 18" tyre.

To have some £s, falkerns 452 have been received well on here, (although personally ive not found them to be very good and have also noticed my car is taller on them!). These can be got for around £75 per tyre for 18"

After 3 months of ownership with the falkens, for the price they can't be beaten. In the dry they are just as grippy, in fact they wheelspin less than the GDS3s. In the wet they are just near as good.
