Hi, thought i would post some pics up of the car i bought back in January from Cupra Matt off this site. Im sure yous all seen the amazing build thread Matt done. Have to say seeing the workmanship in the flesh is even better. So BIG thanks to Matt for the building his car so i could buy it off him!! :D :D

Ive had the car since January and have only covered 2000miles (care free miles i have to say, except from the coil packs that went when i took it to star for the RR day haha). Not done much to the car since i got it except a stubby aerial and i have ordered some discs and pads(Grooved Brembo's & Ferrado DS2500 pads) from badger bill should be here tomorrow (7/5/2008) hopefully.

Keep checking for updates

Hope yous all like the pics...any suggestions welcome for future developments!! Im struggling to find anything to do. Dont need anymore power as i dont 1/4mile it or track it. (It will get a few 1/4mile runs in the summer tho no doubt).

I am considering new coilovers as I dont like the FK's - bit too harsh for my liking.

Change wheels to compomotives, do something with interior, arb's? Just some ideas.

Good to see all is running well. Any reason for why you'd want to trailer it down to matt?

Need to see what this does down 1/4.

Im liking the wheels at the moment! Interior and ARB's are a good shout tho...have to have a look into that.

If i dont get a trailor then i'm not too fussed, just saves 200miles going on the clock really.

Yeah i am thinking about taking it up to a non-magazine day once serviced. Just dont expect great times - I've only done two quarter mile runs before in my k03s ibiza 2years back

How come you are selling up? You got anything planned for your next car? Where is the guy coming from that is buying your car? I've still to finalise what the plans with Matt will be for the service but it will be at the end of the month, so will see you soon no doubt mate. :D

You will be back to IHI power or bigger...!! I missed mine sooo much when i sold mine and bought my S3. Just wasnt a patch on the IHI ibiza i had. It was 275bhp aswel.

Would be nice to see a 350z supercharged tho, think that would be ALOT of fun :funk:

The biggest mistake i ever made was selling that car.

But one thing puts me at ease, the fact the the new owner loves it as much as i do.

Just give me a ring mate to organise the service. and let me know exactly what you want done to it. At least you know it will be in good hands. After all i know every inch of that car like the back of my hand.

It will be nice to see it again, and maybe you could take me for a spin it ( pretty please):funk:

I will give you a call Matt, probably about the 23rd of this month and see when your free the following week....! I'm not trusting any other person with the car, as you said you built the car and you know every little thing on the car.

Ofcourse i will take you a spin in the car, infact you will have to try it out when you have serviced it :funk: just to make sure

How does it compare to the ihi? I know its more bhp but power delivery / torque wise?

Great motor :)

Thanks mate.

I think all round its a MUCH better set up. Pulls stronger, alot easier to get access into things. The power delivery is unreal, its like it pulls hard from 3k to 6.5k then from there to 8k it just goes mental, where as IHI was the turbo came in and that was it.

Thanks to Bill at Badger 5 for the good service and quick delivery would recommend and deal with them again. Kept me in the loop when i emailed them asking when delivery of the parts would be and emailed me back within a few hours

Little update :-

Putting the car away the other week and kerbed my wheel....was gutted as the kerb is about 4inches high and caused this damage

Kerbed.jpg

So i decided I would get the wheels refurbed, took the wheels off on Saturday and took them away to get resprayed the same colour as I thought it worked well with the yellow. So car is currently sitting like this on axle stands

Wheelsoff.jpg

Wheelsoff2.jpg

Decided to give the inner wheel arches a little clean up as they were looking a bit dirty. Some before pics

before4.jpg

And ofcourse some after pics. Not completly finished, want to get them a little cleaner. Any ideas what to use to get them any cleaner??

Should hopefully get the wheels back nice and shiny for Friday, then i've got the car booked into Star Performance for an oil and filter change on Saturday. Also getting the manifold & downpipe taken off and getting sent to zicrotec to get ceramic coated. Then once it comes back from there and Star refit manifold
I have got the car booked in for a full detail. Just hope everything keeps to its time scale as I want it all done for F&M on the 20th July :help:

So not having much fun driving the car, BUT I am having fun doing little things to it myself and making the car look nice and fresh.
