It looks the nuts!

No worries on the painting mate, i enjoyed doing it. I think i'll have to paint my throttle body now too, matches up pretty well to the mani.

Looking good mate, the work never stops with you.

I keep saying it will but i always find something else to do

that does look sex, is that a custom colour powder coat or do they do a range anyway?

They've got a range of colour swatches down there, i gave them a piece of my silicon pipe and they matched it as close as they could

It looks the nuts!

Im well impressed with it, better job than i'd have done, looking forward to seeing how yours turns out when it's finally done

Latest Update

Time for the next installment of fun with the project!!

I'd been thinking for a while about exhaust manifolds as it's on the list for when i go bigger turbo, after thinking about it i bit the bullet and spent my hard earned on a JBS k03 collected manifold.

Once it had arrived i decided i wanted it fitted by monday ready for Lydden so i could try it out on track to see if it had made any difference.

Fitting started lastnight and was going well, old mani off within the hour and studs wound into turbo ready for installation of the new one, that's when it started to go downhill, fitting the JBS mani was easy enough but bolting it on was another story, after an hour or so of messing about i called it a night and gave up.

Returning to work bright and early this morning i decided easiest way for me to fit it (not the most efficient way though) was to pull the engine out

Engine was on the deck just before 10 and i set to work on the mani, after speaking to Mike at JBS he informed me they used a mixture of modified spanners to get the mani tightened up so after a visit to my mates up the road i had a collection of mutilated 12mm spanners.

I'll be completely honest and say it must have taken me 2 hours to get everything tigtened up (and im still not sure everything is spot on so will be checking tomorrow)

Car is now back on the road and initial impressions are all good but monday will be the real test once i get it on track and give it some proper stick.

That engine has been in and out more times then a train at a station lol

Tell me about it, makes life easier sometimes though

With a few more modified spanners it should be easier when i need to take it off, hopefully that wont be anytime soon though
