Hi mate,

Haven't really pushed the car too much yet, need new front tyres pretty bad, also haven't had it tracked yet, its going in for a service at the stea... i mean dealers soon, so when its all done and the tyres are scrubbed in i'll give it a good hoofin and let you know what i think.
Fsd's seem to have dropped it about 20mm, looks almost standard, but you can tell its lower, nice even gap all around between tyre and wheel arch.Perfect, i think.
The rear bar has got three settings, i've got it set to the middle one, feels good to me. But you can go in one to make it stiffer, or out one to make it softer.

Tyres, service, wheel alignment....:cry: its all money, never mind their worth it.

Sounds good mate! Same for me, my car is for every day use and im not too much of a mad driver but just want it to handle a bit better. I was thinking 25 front and 28 rear mainly coz that seems to be what most people go for?? but now after reading you little report im thinking your choice sounds about right for me? Oh my god, im all confused again now. You are spot on when you say about the worry of getting the wrong set up as this is not a cheap upgrade. I would like to have it all done in the next month or 2 so still got a bit of time to think. From what you are saying how your car is now i do think it sound pretty much what im looking for. Thanks for the reply mate, it has been a help, i think?:confused: :)

I might go 25/25 as well. I will have a front S3 upper brace and rear hughes engineering upper strut brace. I think 25/25 will be balanced out nicely but I havn't a clue :lol:.
Need some £££'s first.

There are two 'stabilizer bars' on the Leon, one at 22mm and one at 19mm.
The one that most people upgrade is the 19mm one so a 22mm one will be an upgrade, 3mm should make a bit of a difference

Junior, which one is the lower front Arb and which/ where is the other one.

The 18mm bar is the one that is connected to the shockers, the 23mm one is the one connected to the LCA's
So by your description the 23mm one is more that is further forward of the two and its connected to the front of the LCA and the hub/bearing carrier
There is no differentiation between any of the models on vagcat so can only presume that this is standard throughout the Leon range but I doubt it will be.

Note after looking at the vagcat page again I noticed that the bars are 18 and 23mm.
So for the LCR anything smaller than 23 mm is a degrade to the standard set up

Yep,i did roll bars with standard suspension before i got coilovers and ill second that,it made the biggest difference to handling,miles better than standard,well worth the money.Matched with uprated dampers/springs its a different car,i can certainly find the limit of the tyres alot easier now,before car would roll and feel abit insecure and i would back off,now it doesnt shift and the suspension can handle much higher speeds in corners,which pushes the tyres to there limit.Roll bars on there own are a very worth while mod though.

Vagcat has the 19mm bar attaching to the shock, which means its the LCR/TT/S3 one according to them. The 23mm one attaches to the LCA so thats on the LC/MkIV.

Aye, its a bit confusing
That looks correct but as you said not too sure the LCR one is really 18mm??
I'll have to get the tape measure out, I've got an OD tape, that'll get the info;)
