just got in from the garage its back on four wheels JUST about! the caliper clearance on my big bad boy g60 brakes are LITRALLY 1mm from the inside of the alloy! :-o and have tidy up the engine bay hiding wires and neatening it all up

gaz ive gone for a jettex full system with twin backbox 2" tailpipes im hoping for more engine noise but hope exhaust isnt DRONING but only one way to find out. big update coming soon :)

Could always get another silencer put in if the exhaust drones mate, or change the backbox!

Sounds like the brakes fill the wheels nicely!!!

Just watch out for potholes, could be interesting if u buckled a wheel!! :-o

well ive trapped a nerve in my neck so feel pretty paralised so no much done sinse last update

um the engine has no wiring issues any more all front suspension is in and its back on 4 wheels again

should hopefully shake this trapped nerve milarky off soon and get the rear brakes, discs and suspension ect ON and then i can get started on making the brakets for the front seats and also book this electrician geezer to put this amazing alarm on! once that is in i can put dash back in and start tidying everything up and link in the new sound system,

still waiting on the samco pipes as they have to be made to order :wtf: then when they turn up rad fans can all go in then i can put front end back on (wings/bonnet/bumper ect)

exhaust has been ordered awaiting delivery that can be slapped on straight away then im there just need to getan mot tax and im away :funk: shouldnt be long now just frustrating laying in bed when i could be out there right now!!!!!!

anyway il throw some pics up to keep you all happy

the donnor mk2 has been scrapped as it had a nasty prang in the o/s neighbours wernt impressed with the "zebra carcus" as it looked like a "counsil estate" apparantly :birdy: my drive i do what i like :rifle:

yup is home straight but its a bloody long homestraight with ALOT of hard graft to go!
edition 38 will be defo done in the golf! but undecided where il be as 9 of my mates are going now so will most probably chill out with them but will certainly gate crash the seatcupraq.net stand ;)

more has been done sinse these last photo's just il save that fo the next update which hopefully wont be long!

its got a chip as remap isnt possible, also has racing cams, enlarged throttle body and complete rebuild piston rings, chains ect so should be seeing 210-220 bhp with de cat ect plan to stay non supercharged for edition38 as i dont want to risk missing out! then when a few months have passed i will be putting supercharger on myself with mate ben,

had a few quotes for the supercharger i asked them for the LOUDEST supercharger without MASSIVE exspense and ive been told on neumerous occasions that the vortech v1 supercharger is the 1 at £2300 for complete kit and 280-290bhp is plenty for now :D

some serious power there then! How much does the car weigh? Can't be all that heavy (compared to new cars). So power to weight must be fairly good :D

its been done alot of times before and does involve alot of work but if i wanted to push this car further than 300bhp then 4wd is a must!!!!!!! but dont go putting it into stone that im going to as a mk2 golf is alot more rattly and alot further behind the ibiza in safety comfortablity so will feel alot faster if you know what i mean soim im sure 280-290bhp will be enough for a lil while and if i really feel i need more power then 4wd is defo in the equation!

good figures then 210bhp! they about 190 standard? im sure just 290bhp will be enough unless you then want to turbo it! to give more torque!

na done turbo wont be doing that again will be supercharged only and then if i still aint happy i can just hop on a superbike

you are correct the 2,9vr6 engine i have is a meire 190bhp but ultimatly sounds the daddy the cam shop quote that the cams i have with nothing else will see 210-220bhp  apparantly and i prob dont belive that really but along with the de cat 6 branch manifold, full stainless steal exhaust system, rebuilt engine (no compresion loss), enlarged throttle body, superchip and air filter cone id imagine its possible this one at the moment isnt all about really fast its restorating a classic and making it simply SOUND the daddy with a bit of poke to see off the usual chav crew! as with my ibiza dont get me wrong it sounds lovely when you open her up but NO where near a touch on a v6 supercharged wont be as fast but hopefully just as fun!
