Yeah its touch screen, its very good!

Mikey, if the headunit has a vga (d-sub, like a computer monitor) and a usb touchscreen connector it'll be fine.

Ive fitted the red grill, so heres the pics, i think it looks awesome personally! Even my perents liked it lol!

IMO red parts inside look a bit chavvy like youd find on a ****-box saxo, red grille doesnt seem to work either, but hey ho each to their own lol

I got all my spraying stuff from halfords. Pic of what i used on the first page. The yellow primer filler i was using was left over from my carputer install, it ran out pretty fast so i used some bog standard grey primer from halfords.

Sanded it down with some wire wool, washed with clean water.

Sprayed 2 layers of primer, 15-30 mins between.

Waited an hour after the second layer of primer, then sprayed the red paint, did 3 coats with 30 mins between.

Waited 1 hour for about 5 thin layers of laquer (15 mins between), thin layers because i didnt want runs. Left to dry over night and that was it!

Im on the look out for facelift bumpers cheap. So watch this space :)

if your going for a euro look i think the prefacelift works better but if you want the front to look agressive the facelift looks much better

Im not going to say anything on this subject. Insurance ALWAYS kicks off massive fights and I was in the middle of the last one!

You should notify your insurance of every single mod you do. Even if it's changing wheel TRIMS from standard.

Looks much better. Only think missing now is a FMIC ;)

I know! Massive hole where it should be!

Really not sure on the top window vents, tempted to spray them back to black, opinions?

n.b. thats not the kind of stain your thinking of! It was from the previous owner with a big greasy burger, ive tried everything to get it out!

Firstly how did you get the centre vents out?

and secondly where you get the boot shelf/tray from?

boot tray i got from ebay, its an official accessory. They occasionally pop up on ebay every now and again.

Great idea! The Car PC system that you have installed! :)
Are the PC components secured at all, or sitting loose in their little compartments.

What happens when you run over speed bumps/potholes - doesnt it cause the PC to crash (due to the vibration)?

Also what front end software are you using to control the PC system/Windows?
....as i take it you are not using a keyboard and mouse in the car! ;)

Can you "hide" the touch screen in your dash, so it doesn't attract unwanted attention, when parked up at a shopping centre/car park.

Excellent - keep up the great work [B)]

alot of the info is there :)

Speed bumps are fine

Im using RoadRunner, no mouse, but i do have a flexible rubber usb keyboard in my drivers side under seat tray.

I recently "re-did" the screen install. First time around i used mainly bumper fill to mould the screen, as you can probably see in the pics above it started to crack and shower the yellow primer. So this time around i had a bash at fibre glassing, its very good stuff, absolutelty solid. So it looks pretty OEM, but ive also bolted it in so its not removable without getting right into the dash from the ash tray area. The only way to get it out quickly is to smash it to pieces!

Hi.

How did you spray the two piece of plastic on the front and back of the gearstick?. Had a quick look on mine and there are plactic clips, But before i touch them i wanna make sure that they wont just break off.

Thanks
Luke
