yea, those ones! Id realy like to put some of those in, I already have the fog lamps, but I recon theyd fit in next to them quite easily or id just take out the fog lights. afterall - how often does it realy get foggy in this country?
So my question is (well, two questions) what lights are they and how did you install them?
P.S. Thanks for your
help!
first off the units are quit big, im taking around 20cm long and around 7cm round (at the back). this meant that they where a bugger to fit and i had to squeeze them in from behind.
you would not be able to have your fog lights in there aswell as they use the fog light mounting points.
They are not fog lights, one of the reasons for these lights is because i do a lot of night time commuting and these allow a very long distance spread of light withought blinding on comming traffic.
unfortunatly you cannot buy them, i made them myself
.
if you are good with:
1) metal
2) plastics
3) wiring (electrics)
4) lookign around a scrappy for bits and bobs needed
then you have no
problem at all and i could probably write up a
guide for you.
for me the whole lot cost
1) 2 x HID dome lights (£10 from scrap yard)
2) 4mm sheet metal (£10)
3) around 4 days (worked from 9am till around 5pm sat and sunday for 2 weeks)
4) lots of 16amp wire (around £8)
5) relay and switch (around £5)
6) a bit of lost skin (£3.20 for a good pack of plasters)
7) plastic tubes (£1.50 from asda)
8) HID bulbs and ballast (£40)
also need a good use of
words....
so all in all cost me around £80 ish for them. im planning on re doing the front protector to give more light out the front but all in good time.
