Id be abit wiery about the bolts they supply with them mate. Ive got a similar pair which came with them bolts and they were total shite. I had to reshape some standard bolts as the ones they supply are very week and wouldnt do up tight without rounding off.

I got a new demon tweeks book through the other day which has alloy spacers for around £50 delivered, dont know if the alloy ones are worth having tho as i can imagine there abit weeker than the steel ones

They will fit fine.

Only problem with fitting them to a 1.4 I found, is that the original bolts that I have in my wheels are too long so they go through the spacer and hit off the drum so they won't fully tighten. But this would happen with any spacer of this sort (bolt onto hub ones).
This may of course have been because my wheels have not got as much alloy between the bolt and the spacer as others do.
I sorted it by cutting a few threads off my bolts (because I can't find any shorter ones)

Have you got 20mm spacers, Are they the exact ones you have then? I'm looking at these but also eant to make sure there's not problems with having drums!?

hopefully mywheels will have enough 'girth' so that i dont have to cut the bolts... they should be ok as my wheels have custom bolts that came with them that are all locking nuts but they are not mega long - i'll have to have a measure late...

nev. i hope you told the guy your spigot length! i purchased my spacers from there and he had to machine a few 'mm' from the back of the spacer as the spigot on the mk3 is a little odd.

but the bolts are fine that come with the spacer, they have been holing my wheels on fine.
Myki da Pyki must have been using one heck of a force to round off those bolts!

remove your rear wheel.

on the rear hub in the centre there will be a 'tube' sticking out with a cap on it(in the middle of the hub). this is called the spigot. its basically what takes all the pressure from the wheel in to the hub.

Hi all,

I'm new here so go easy on me ;)
Just wondering what size spacers most folks are running on there cupra's?

I'v been looking at H&R DRA's and they are 20mm each side (40mm total) Would these be ok?

Thanks Myki,

Will the wheels still be able to clear the arches with 20mm as I'll be getting coilovers on pretty soon.

mine all fits with 20mm spacers on, but scrub a bit when i'm on the track, so need to go down to 15mm ones, but 20's are ok for everyday driving
