Bluetooth & Other Issues So Soon

CandyFR

Guest
Hi All,

I have searched for this issue in other threads but can't seem to find anything else on it,

I picked up my FR last saturday and i have made numerous phone calls on the bluetooth, but most people seem to say that, your bluetooth is crap i carnt hear you, your breaking up...

Anyone got any suggestions what i should do to cure this or has anybody else had this issue.

Also the car has a horrible creak coming from the passenger rear somewhere, like a plastic creak and also the boot wont shut properly without slamming it hard,

Not happy at all so far.

Cheers

Nick

yes, turn up the volume. The std radio and the satnav both have seperate volume controls for the telephone. Its all in the manual ;)

The manual seems rather crap, i will have to do some further reading into it, and will try another phone and let you know.

As others have said, the louder you turn up the radio while your on the phone, the louder the mics get turned up as well .... so if people cannot hear you properly, turn it up.. yes it will be louder in the car, but they should be able to hear you better too...

The bluetooth is rubbish iam afraid i have it on my 07 FR and everyone says the same they cannot hear me at motorway speeds its been into the dealer for software updates and when i recently used a courtesy car with it on ( a new 57 plate at the time) that was rubbish as well,

If you do a search on the tt owners site the people with the new audi TT slate it as well.......

I read the entire manual last night and didn't see the volume mentioned at all.

Even at motorway speeds (and, um, beyond) I can't say I've had a problem with the bluetooth in the Seat - in fact, I've been quite surprised by how clearly the other person can hear me. Obviously I talk louder to overcompensate for the road noise, but compared to other methods I've used (eg. bluetooth headset, or resting phone somewhere and using the loudspeaker function), it compares very favourably.

IMO the bluetooth addon is worth every single penny.

The bluetooth is NOT rubbish you either have a faulty unit, a rubbish phone or you are not using it correctly.... most people on here agree it is a fantastic feature and well worth the price

Ive tried 3 different phones samsung u600, motorola razr and a friends nokia on 2 different leons and had a dealer do software updates and diagnostic work and my conclusion is the same its poor at anything above 30mph on my car and the Audis that have it, interestingly on the new A4 there are 2 bluetooth systems available the one on ours and a new version classed as the 'higher level', that says ours is inferior.

SpursMadDave what phone are you using with your leon bluetooth ??

As far as I can work out the Premium kit is a Nokia system that adds MFD3 integration and a extra keypad next to the steering wheel.

The 'original' is a StarRec device.

Have used a K800i, K850i and a G600 all been perfect, i talk on mine at maximum legal speeds.... I find i do usually have to increase the phone volume depending on how fast/surface etc but as long as i can hear the other end the other end have absolutely no problem hearing me so really cant understand your problem.... have you tried calling the dealer from your bluetooth or getting them to call you etc....

What phones work best with the Leon Bluetooth system. I have a Leon FR with new Sat Nav system on the way, and my contract is due for renewal soon with my phone - just wanted to make sure I minimised any potential problems I may have.
