its alot of money for a headunit, but would be worth it. do you reckon you would get any of this back when you came to sell the car, i.e add any value????

I saw this action, but it was 2 months ago, nice price.

Yeah €800-850 is about right in my mind. The equivalent being approx.£625.

This one sold for €850 a fortnight ago.

This one is €870 including local postage with 6 hours to go

Around trade it time, in 3-4 years, it should add £200-300 to the car so I'd be losing about a ton a year at this price.

jeater?

If you mean the heater controls, then no, they stay where they are.

im interested in this headunit but think the price is abit expensive. what makes this one so much better than the MFD2 one which it looks as though you can pick up for around £350 - £400?

ummm... let me see - touch display, 30 gb hard drive, you can play DVD's, can play music from memory card and will display artist/track info and then copy to hard disc if needed, all maps stored on Hard Disc so you can still play CD's whilst using Navi - and I'm sure theres alot more I've forgotten too...

yes you forgot the most important thing, is plug and play and everything works correctly and you wont have issues like if you with an aftermarket HU

The MFD2 is 'PnP' too. It is just the older, less functional model.

MFD3 / RNS510 adds:

  1. DVD drive plays DVD Video whilst vehicle is stationary
  2. Hard Disk drive storage (30 Gb) for maps and music storage.
  3. Higher resolution display
  4. (On VW version) SD card reader for mp3s / file transfer
  5. Option of touch screen control

The other thing that was mentioned on there is that you should be able to tell if your car is MY2007 or 2008 by checking the 10th digit of your chassis number and it will be a 7 or 8 - this should be the factor in whether you have Canbus 1.6 or 2.0

Thanks Nick, for all your research! guess Im gonna stick with my MFD2 as the 10th digit on chassis number is a big fat 7!!!

and if anyone is interested I have some MFD2 UK SAT NAV CD's available.
1 x 06-07 and 2 x 07-08. These are original Telemap CD's not copies!
They will work in any Blaupunkt DX unit.
PM me if your interested.
