Extra buttons

something thats been bothering me lately when thinking about modifying my car...


some of the things im after will need a button to be pressed for it to work, where can i put the buttons?

has anyone here added buttons to inside their car an where have you put them?


any help would be great

possibly a button to turn on LEDs in boot install
heated seats
NOS (kidding)

could these buttons not be wired up to go by the TCS or iPod in?

and no iPod in (ibiza 1.2)

TCS is Traction Control System is a button on the center console by the hand-brake. i dont have a iPod connection in mine but its in the same location but the other side of the console.

the heated seat buttons i could maybe fit onto the side of the seats (facing the doors) a small switch of some sort

just bugged me because some other cars have blank buttons which you can use
only one i could think of was the airbag off button which only lights up, cant be pressed, above the radio

Have you got the kit yet? you could put the switches on the seats as sergestid on the ebay page.

not bought yet, looking into getting new seats first

but probably in the next couple of weeks

i might actually just get them for my standard seats just now (their needed for cold mornings) then swap them over when get new seats

why not connect into the heated rear window switch via a relay for heated seats

I have them on my astra elite and they are well toasty on cold mornings

BTW when my warranty is up (quite soon) my next mod is to get the heated wing morror glass fitted and connect them up to the heated rear screen switch via a rely.....................
