"Cover for Intake Manifold" aka Engine Cover

2.0 FSi (BLR,BLY,BVY,BVZ) P/N 06F 103 925 C
2.0 TDi (BKD, AZV) P/N 03G 103 925 B
1.9 TDi (BKC) P/N 03G 103 925 H

Are you aware of one for the 1.6 petrol?

I listed the engines where an engine cover is shown on ETKA , therefore the 1.6 is one of those where there is no engine cover.

Seat are paying :)

An update.

I recieved a call from Seat customer services today. They are going to pay for an engine cover as I did order the car in September, before the part was removed from the build.

Quite a result really, and to be fair the lady at Seat customer services has kept me informed as to what is happening through out.

:)

Can anyone tell me exactly what is the difference between the 2.0 and 1.9 TDi engine cover?

Also anyone know the cost of the 1.9 cover and does anyone have a photo (does it look the same as a 2.0 cover?)?

My December 2005 2.0TDI has an engine cover...

Mind you mine was first registered to SEAT UK so it was probably a demonstrator. They'd want it to look nice and tidy :)

Yes, but what is the difference between a 2.0 and a 1.9 TDi engine cover? Can a 2.0 fit a 1.9 engine and vice versa?

I have a 2007 mdl 2.0 TDI DSG built Nov 2006. I also found that it was missing when I checked the oil, also could not understand why so much engine noise inside car in traffic. Seat UK + dealers confirmed that cover deleted from factory for 2007 mdl year. I argued that no-one had informed me when car ordered beginning of Nov 2006. Seat and supplying dealer split cost. It does not make a big difference, but it was the principle.

Just like deleting xenons on Cupra but forgetting to tell the customer! If you don`t ask you don`t get. Not as though car is cheap and a diesel needs more insulation and it looks unfinished without cover. same with service package, only found out on this site just after 1st service! Would have saved me money
