rpm @ 70mph in 6th on Ibiza 130 TDI Sport?

As title.

I've just bought, but not collected yet, a 2002 130 TDI sport, just wondered what sort of rpm its doing at 70mph in 6th on standard wheels/tyres?

In a Furby vRS (same engine and size alloys afaik) is around 1800rpm and 2000rpm is 75

In 6th, the original TDI Sports are geared at 37.5mph/1000rpm.

So by my maths it'll be around 1900rpm.

In my 6 speed cupra TDI gearbox powered Fabia, 70mph is just a spit over 2000rpm, near as damnit smack-on. This makes sense as 140mph is in the region of 4000rpm to 4100rpm, with that extra bit more to give, if the car were not as aerodynamic as a smeg fridge....

Whilst the FR TDi sits at around 2,100rpm

Yup, gearing was changed slightly when the FR was introduced.

My 54 plate Fabia vRS was sitting at 2100rpm @ 70mph in 6th.
They had introduced new ratios for late 2004 models.

That's bizarre as my TDI Sport sits at 2,100 rpm for 80mph...

Early 130bhp 37mph at 1000rpm
later 130bhp 31.2mph at 1000rpm

Cupra 160bhp 30.8mph at 1000rpm

Presuming you have a brochure covering the 2002/2003 Ibiza, any chance you can scan in the page showing engine size (cc) and co2 for a 130 TDI Sport?

Chris it is a 2003 brochure, can't scan but could take a photo and send it if thats any good?

It say's 1898cc and 138co2.
