Hey all just got my TIP today from forge.
Read the guide and i come with a problem, ive removed the old intake witheasy but having problems fitting the new intake on.

i cant take the 8mm nut of for pipe for the heater, think i worn it out.:doh:

So far i tried it the hard way and sqeeze the pipe down the tight gap. Im having trouble getting the pipe on to the turbo.

If i jacked the car up will i get a better acces to the turbo inlet to get the pipe stuck on? got 40% on, the rest just cant get around it[:@]

Ive jsut left the car i peices and will continue in the morning as it getting dark, im tired spent 3hours  tryin to do it. plus my knuckles are herting now:(

Thanks

Little bit of oil around the edge and it should go in with ease.

Its just that the intake is stuck agains the heater pipe. The top part of the pipe aligned with tubo and bottom is sort of bent, cant get it to starighten up for it to go on. Think if i try from underneather wil i get more acces to the turbo inlet as its quite restricted from the top for my hands to sqeeze in

yes the heater pipe needs to be remove and is a pain to get to as well but i would suggest geting under the car and trying to ease the bottom part of the tip on that way first. i couldnt get my tip past the heater hose so you have done the tricky bit

Abit messy with tools around but my phone was dying so took a quick shot for now

Quick questions, cany any one spot something wrong?

Guna do some logs to see any different with the air flow and any pressure increases.
So far the car feels slighty different and my dv has changed sound slighly.

My cover dont fit now :(

Yeah the cover won't fit, lol. Shame as I bought a carbon fibre one too:doh:

As for is there anything wrong, I can see you have the DV and N75 plumbed in but what about the other 'branch' with nothing in it nearest the maf (as you can tell I don't know what should be in there, but I'm sure i plumbed something in to mine)

The DV should now make a lovely whoosh noise (if you like that kind o thing)

nah the dv and n75 are fine, the oil breather is behind the dv so its hard to see, well the sound of dv has changed slighly.
Took it out for a blast against my starlet, it made quite a different in the spool up time and the top end peak.

Keep guessing tho :D

you can turn the dv round so the cover should fit on, i had to do it with mine and everything works fine and the engine covers fits on nicely.
