I know some people have made warranty claims for this common problem where as others are simply told 'no it's your fault for using abrasive detergents' and other such lame excuses...
I took my 55 reg LCR into Camberly Seat before Christmas as my off side calliper has just started to peel... they took a couple of pics and explained that these have to be sent to head office where someone will make a decision.
They called back last week to say that Seat aren't prepared to do anything as it's most likely a stone chip or my fault seeing as it's fairly close to the pad removal pins. He did say that they would be happy to sell me another calliper for £400 (or what ever they cost) ancd send my old one off to Seat so they could properly inspect it and then if by some miracle they decide it is a defect they will refund me!!! FFS
IMO it's simply down to Brembo not making these callipers fit for perpose and based on the amount of people that have suffered from this issue I find it hard to beleive that Seat aren't willing to do anything about this...
So, has anyone been sucessful making a claim for similar probelms and if so which dealer did you go to?
Also, does anyone have any further suggestions regarding what else I can do to get this sorted?:
TIA
