mmm 2 tone!

had a go at spraying the headliner today, got through 2 cans of paint and it looked rubbish on the floor, put it in the car and it don't look too bad, just gotta go order the fittings from the dealer monday

as the 2 tone look is shockingly bad!

how do you take the A and C pillars out by the way? sprayed the bit across the back of the boot black and it's come up nice, but couldn't work out how to get the pillars out!

oh and for anyone else planning this, go buy a magic tree air freshener in preparation, as your car will STINK

take all the handles and sinvisors and lights and everything off (the bit where the sunvisor clips in is a BITCH it get off without breaking!) then as Guiness says just slide it towords the front of the car, and pull it out through the tailgate!
it looks good now its in the car, it just looked pants on my garage floor!
was pretty easy to do, i did it on the garage floor, after about an hour of fine coats i was bricking it becasue it looked horrendous, so i threw caution to the wind and went heavy and about 5 inches from the headlining with the can (my arm is now black ) dried it with a hairdryer, then whacked it back in!
does look far better in than it did out!

and the grey bits just need a thin coat of primer, then thin coats of matt black and they look the mutts too :)
oh what a fun saturday, a buckled wheel, a new tyre, and now a new interior!

the pillars etc will need priming first else they go horrible when sprayed, again, get some plastic primer from halfords, £5.49 a can, right next door to the matt black :)

the a pillers just pull off. they have the clips that have 5 very thin bits of flat plastic each side. the c pillers are a right pain. you have to remove the parcel shelf support to get to one of the bottom screws holding the c piller in and the c piller also clips into the support and its a bit of a pain. so few bits of boot trim need to be removed to get to the screws.
