Mini disc  Wouldn't something with MP3/CD/iPod be more worth while?

Hi Xe, Ive had one of these headunits before though and they are very impressive.

I will probably add a cd changer.

Plus if you can keep the aux input then that will allow for a ipod

Any other help out there????????????

From what I've read a facia adaptor is available from Seat that will give you a standard double din fitting. Then you can use a mk5 golf double din to single din adaptor.

The facia adaptor is the one for the sat nav system, which gives you a double din slot. Then fill the other slot with one of those nifty single din "pockets". Had one in my MR2 and found it quite useful :)

You'd need a head unit that had aux in on it, then wire the cable into the back. AFAIK it isn't part of the standard ISO connector.

if it were me, i'd go ask a dealer what the cost on the sat nav surround is, it's sure to fit properly then and not leave any gaps round the side...

Yeah ive got the girl at the dealership on the case at the mo!

Can you get an adaptor like you could with the ford stereos, so that you keep your steering wheel controls??

Suprised this car has been out as long as it has and there arent more people out there who have changed the stereo.

I've just ordered a sat nav fascia adapter through my local dealer... About £8.50 for the front part. Have also just bought the golf single din adapter off fleabay for around £11.

Need to order the cable adapters now...

I've just received the double to single din adapter... delivered in less than 24 hours from ebay seller. Link

Should get the colour coded fascia plate from dealer tomorrow, so now just waiting on leads. I got an email this morning saying the lead is out of stock at the moment, so will be at least a week or so before i can change the radio over.

I went to a car mod shop yesterday and asked them what they could get.
They use a variety of companies but only one does the SEAT double din, which is £30 by the way and none of them do a single din.

They also want £100 for the stalk adaptor leads to keep my steering wheel controls!!!!! :wtf: This seems a bit steep if you ask me.

Where are you getting your leads from Cinq?

Anyone else know where these can be purchased at reasonable prices?

I've ordered my leads from http://www.incarexpress.co.uk

£40 for the main adapter, £3 for the patch cable to convert to sony remote in and £10 for the fakra ariel adapter.

Most other sites have the leads at £50, unless anyone knows of any other suppliers

Is the aerial adaptor this one

sorry to be a pain cinq i just dont want to get the wrong one.

Where abouts is the patch cable on the web site?

Looking forward to your install!

That seems like a cheap site, cheapest ive found today was £49.70 +vat and that was pulling strings (or so i thought!)
