I got this today...I put my old MAF back in and drove it yesterday and all was fine. Driving into work today I wasnt booting it but I was on my way up to 70 and the boost cut out completely. From then on the turbo wasn't spooling up at all and on my gauge wasnt even getting to 0 it was just like I was running without the turbo but I had no warning lights or anything come on.

So I pulled over and checked for errors and got the Mass Air Sensor signal too high intermittent and the below:

17963 - Charge Pressure: Maximum Limit Exceeded
P1555 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

I'm assuming this is down to the MAF but could someone just verify? Or could it be a dud N75?

id blame the maf - as it seems to cause most boost issues and cant say ive heard of anyone whos ever had a screwed n75 - unless they have used a race one

I've got the same problem at the mo, I'm waiting for a N75 to come through the post which I hope will sort it.

although as you've been having MAF issues recently maybe its linked to that...

Does it do it everytime, or just the once?

I get a similar thing happen on mine. For example im driving on the motorway in 4th gear at 70mph. If I then floor it in 4th (and its always 4th, no other gear) the car will boost normally and then all of a sudden at 4.5k for example it will suddenly feel as if I have hit the limiter and then all boost is gone completely.

I usually then pull over, unplug & then plug back in the MAF sensor and it all comes back. Now, when Ive done vagcom I get Charge Pressure Control - Negative Deviation.

I always get the boost back but it does get frustraiting because it only happens when in 4th and then booting it.

is all this with useing that race valve?

No mate, Ive still not fitted the n75 yet, still sitting in its box. This has been an ongoing thing for a while and its been suggested it could be the current n75 valve im using. Havent tried the reace valve yet but will fit it when i can be bothered. Too cold and windy at the mo

I had the exact same thing happening to me when I had a P-torque remap, used to get negative boost deviations everytime I booted in 4th and 5th at around 4800rpm and occasionally did it in 3rd if engine loading was correct. Just used to cut power and only boost to 5psi, would only reset itself out of limp mode when I turned the ignition off and restarted the engine, which was a mega ballache.

Took mine back to will and he couldn't sort it, ended up getting it put back to standard and refunded, then went elsewhere.

Since having it remapped by another company (CC) I've not had any problems, so I know it wasn't a fault with my car causing the underboost, and I still suspect it was the P-torque map. Might be worth a call if it does it everytime you plant it in 4th at around 4500rpm.

Hope it helps.

An intresting read. I will try my new n75 first and see how that fairs. If that fails then I will have to do some more investigating. Its not everytime it happens to me but, every now and then say 1 every 3 months it seems to happen to me.

Im hoping it is the n75 valve rather than the map but we'll just have to wait and see. Thanks for the input:)
