Well, T.Sparks is running 6.5 to 60 and im sure his is pretty modded engine wise.

Im also one of the guys running high 14's in the TDi PD130 stakes
Im going to try and beat my time at GTI fest. this year
At the time of running my car @ pod etc it just had a Phase one remap and a Forge FMIC (not mapped around this)
I have a PD160 Air intake, performance airfilter, full 2'5 inch decat exhaust, forge FMIC and a Phase one map for straight line speed.
Might also add, that to help traction for 0-60's and 1/4 times im running 215/40/16's toyo's Eibach coilovers, cupra & powerflex bushes and spacers all around F/7mm R25mm. Then the rest of the handling such as Eibach F/ARB, Jabba R/ARB and a SS strut brace.
This year the difference in the car will for the 1/4 time will be a full exhaust and the uprated helix clutch and single mass fly wheel I got last week
Which brings me nicely onto weight, as mine isnt going to weight standard.. with the extra weight of the 312mm and spacers etc I intend to offset with lack of interior and my skinny ass
I have a rather crazy target figure that im aiming for of 1000kg's which im hoping in time i can reach, but time will tell!
My best 0-60 measure was 7,04s and 1/4 mile in 15,004 (remapped TDi 130). That was on 16" OZ wheels, near empty tank, no rear sets and no spare wheel.
With all the things on and a near full tank, it wearied between 7,4s and 7,6s...
I'm interested what times are people with big turbo modifications (220+hp) running?
I know that with that sort of power (and torque) grip becomes an issue, but nevertheless they should have better times!

My FR130 dynoed at 173 / 289 yesterday , its standard apart from the PD2 box , traction is always the problem so 0-60 is not always a good indicator of on the road speed in a diesel. My top end has increased but it runs out of revs now so thats that lol. I get 6.8 if i get a good start an clean shift to 2nd , more to the point i get low 5's 30-70 . I need better tyres , have seat 16 " original alloys , can you put 215 on these ?

because the extra power/torque you will get is not at the rev range that top speed is achieved
basically with a remap there is extra power but not a the red line
does that make sense ?
No that doesn't make sense at all!
And it doesn't hit the red line in fifth or sixth
Every power curve I have have seen of remaps gives significantly more power between 3,500 to 4,000 rpm so if its got more power and an extended rev range at what was its old top speed, new top speed is bound to end up higher than it was

top speed is limited by loads of things
mainly, power, and wind resistance/drag
the more power you have, the more wind resistance you will be able to overcome, so in theory, your top end should increase, but noit by a huge margin
and who drives flat out enough for it to matter if you can go 3mph faster?
