Its a group 15 or higher car (not sure what group the Cupra-R is) so thats about right. Either wait another year for it to come down a few £££ or just pay up. The quote you have given as per your details arent really that crazy imo.

Premium Choice gave me the best quote I've ever got for my car with my mods declared - £700, however companies like direct line etc all gave me £550 - £600 quotes for it as standard but I do have 4 years no claims!

Im 22,with 0 no claims bonus,4 years driving (but never owned a car for more than 9 months,so never built up a full no claims) and im paying £639 with elephant. The way i do it is add someone with 10+ years driving experience (which in my case is my mum) as a named driver on the policy and itl come down a little,i saved £250/£300 when i done that

Thats sounds about right...my insurance is due for renewal on the 9th so i'm doing quotes as i write...

So far ... i used google to find an insurance supermarket, put my details through it and Bell have come out the cheapest at £1450 (I'm 20, 3 yrs experience, 1 NCB, no convictions etc etc).

I hoping i can get it a little lower, but i'm quite happy with £1450.

As stated really, until you reach 25 you are still considered a young driver and as such a greater insurance risk.

I have just yesterday transferred my insurance to Greenlight (£672 on a modded LCR) as Direct Line told me to shove my mods up my ass. :)

fully comp, 12 month policy and im 21 on my own! The guy really went out of his way to help me, he couldnt really get anything competitive at first then he said I'll ring around a min and give you a call back in a bit, and sure enough he did and under cut his original quote by a few hundred!

yeah privilage, direct line, admiral etc all gave me good quotes (£600ish) but they wouldn't touch the mods

how do you get 4 years no claims from 3 years driving

that is cheap if its indeed correct since its basically what i pay with 5 years no claims after driving for 5 years
